You all know I tabbed Mayfield as the top QB last year. The question was if he was the available QB and Murray chose baseball would I take him and trade Rosen. I was confident Mayfield had the potential to be special. Of course you can’t cheat and consider Mayfield’s performance last year. He may not win a Super Bowl but he’s not a bust.

I’d stick with Rosen. I like making the defense playoff worthy with the first choice. I don’t think they’ll get a great trade offer. Even if KK fails, the defense will keep the 2019 team in most games. If they change coaches in 2020 they could take another QB (good pool) but Rosen could also adapt to most systems. The defense will be even better in 2020. The offense should improve with decent drafts this year and next. When you have a great defense anything is possible.
No guarantees whichever way they go. Availability with production is huge. There are questions about both KM and Bosa. Who gives the greater payoff ultimately? You have your Flaco and Dilfer aberrations. Are we ever going to have that rushing attack and D that Baltimore had?

And you’d be wrong... 6 SB victories in last 20 years by average or below average QBS.

Dilfer
Brad Johnson
Eli Manning x2
Flacco
Nick Foles
Add Peyton’s last SB

That’s over 30% of SB in last 20 years... I’d take that chance if you build a good roster.

Add to that Brady has won 6 of the last 20 means it's 6 out of 14 or as many as Brady.

And you have nothing but speculation and hope Murray will be a top 10 QB.History says that is unlikely.

And you have speculation and hope that Rosen will be better than the worst starting QB in the NFL like he was last year.

At least Murray wasn't terrible last year. He was electric.

History. Name another 5'10 starting QB in the modern era other than Russell Wilson.

History says hell be great then!

Nick Foles? No. Guy was outstanding that entire playoff run even when the defense was giving up a crap ton of pts some games.

He is an average to below average QB. Whether you choose to believe that or not. Big picture trumps a 3-4 game run.

The point is that he was responsible for them winning then Super Bowl. The rest of the guys on that list had their defenses lead them in the postseason. Nick Foles, not the Eagles defense, led Philly in the postseason.

Eli(2nd run) & Flacco certainly did more damage than their defenses did during their playoff runs.

Eli(2nd run) & Flacco certainly did more damage than their defenses did during their playoff runs.

During the team’s Super Bowl XLVII run after the 2012 season, Flacco completed 73 of 126 passes for 1,140 yards, 11 touchdowns and no interceptions, producing a 117.2 passer rating — the highest ever for a postseason since 1970, the year the AFL and NFL merged.

Foles, a backup until Carson Wentz suffered a season-ending injury in Week 14, threw for 373 yards and three touchdown passes. He even caught a one-yard touchdown pass from Trey Burton on a fourth-down play in the final minute of the first half. This came on the heels of an NFC championship game performance in which he completed 26 of 33 passes for 352 yards and three touchdowns for a 141.4 passer rating, the highest ever in a conference championship playoff game (minimum 30 passes thrown). And he did that against one of the league’s best defenses.

College is not the NFL. You can name a ton of college QBs who as you say electric until they got to the NFL.

Don`t you know that Murray is going to be the "transcendent" Qb of his generation and change the NFL. Able to leap tall buildings at a single bound, able to stop speeding bullets, more powerful than a speeding locomotive, able to part the Red Sea,,feed the masses,End global warming, cure all illness and.....stop inflation, make affordable healthcare, and then after lunch...…….?:thud:

And Josh Rosen has to improve a lot just to be average. His best game last year was a bad game for any good QB in the NFL last year.

Chuck Norris traveled to Norman, Oklahoma this past fall. He came to learn how to improve his roundhouse kicks from Kyler Murray.

Insert QB who played in Spurrier's offense at Florida...

Marcus Marriotta

Josh Hypl (sp)

This list can go on forever, with a little thought...

Lots of electric and Heisman QBs in college just couldn't cut the mustard in NFL, or didn't have talent that translated to the next level.
