Incomplete poll as options 2-4 are essentially impossible for this season.

Probably not. Are we holding Gannon to the same standard as a HC who has taken a team to the Super Bowl and wouldn't give coaching this organization the time of day? A HC whose career records is 59-27-1. Might as well compare Kyler to Peyton Manning. (yes, I know that is dramatic)

Again, I am fine firing Gannon as long as you get rid of Monti as well.
We should hold our coaches and players to the highest standard. I use Jim Harbaugh as my example because he is my inspiration and spirit animal.

What is the lowest tier of coach where it’d be okay to lose to the Titans at home? DeMeco Ryans was the last coach to lose to the Titans at home.

Mike McDaniels was the last out-of-division coach to be bested by Callahan in his own house.

EDIT: I should also say that I voted for Gannon to stay. I’m just saying that losing to Tennessee because you’re learning on the job is a terrible excuse.

Something to consider here is if you're continually changing coaches you'll have to change out several players to fit new coaches schemes. I don't think you can build continuity by firing a coach or GM every few years.
Oh no! What are the good players we’d stand to lose?

I guess I am not. He has flaws. For sure. He also has Kyler Murray as his QB. That's something that fits your doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result statement. As I said, I will start putting more on the coaches when they are the ones on the field in critical situations.
So, never. You will never put more on the coaches? Being stuck with Kyler has nothing to do with vanilla 4-man rushes at game's end. It has nothing to do with trying to drain TOs with tons of time on the clock. Kyler still gives you a better chance to convert than rushing into the teeth of a D expecting a run, especially when stopping the clock makes zero difference. Why all the excuse making and why, especially, will you not address these specific points myself and others keep bringing up? You end up going off on non-sequiters instead.

So then you'd give him at least two more seasons. A vote to give Gannon a clean slate with another QB isn't just a one-year proposition.
True that Stout. I take it all back. Fire the bum. LMAO!

Stout - Kyler is terrible. Isn't worth anything on the trade market. Doesn't handle pressure well. Isn't a pocket QB.

Also Stout - How come the offensive play calling is conservative in key moments? That OC is a coward. Put the ball in your QB's hands.

Stout - Our secondary sucks. Budda can't cover.

Also Stout - Why aren't these defensive coaches bringing pressure and putting our secondary in single coverage?
That's a blatant falsehood. Back to the drawing board with you.

As to the bolded, you can either A)Have a guaranteed negative result or B)Do the only logical thing in the scenario and throw the ball whoever your QB happens to be. And, you know, maybe you can run a play fake, or a special play that *gasp* limits that QB's deficiencies! Or just draw up a play where he throws it deep so an INT doesn't hurt us. And the most likely negative outcome is Kyler pulling a standard turtling maneuver to take a sack, which would have made no material difference whatsoever.

I get it. You love Gannon as a coach. You will hear nothing against Gannon. Do we need a special thread at the top of the page about it?

I fully agree. We are well poised to change the whole thing, though. As Kyler needs to be gone, and the coaches, and the GM, we can just do a clean sweep and a hard reset. That's why getting rid of Kyler but keeping Gannon is such a dumb idea.

hypothetical:

John Harbaugh is rumored to be on the hot seat (IMO talking head stuff to drive engagement, but still.......)

If he is available -- to you pull the trigger? Can he bring a good personnel guy from Balt with him?
I don't think Harbaugh would EVER come to us. After nothing but stability and organizational structure that runs like an atomic clock, why the hell would he want to transition to the football equivalent of Spirt Airlines?

There is a legitimate path to us going 4-13 this year. If that does happen, I don't see how we keep him. I think Monti will stick around, though, which is a shame. I have absolutely no faith in Monti's ability to properly utilize high draft picks. Or any draft picks, really.

Coach Kendall Roy, making it awkward for everyone again!

Strange moment.
I wonder if he thought he was super-cool dropping the mic at that point.

He was a 24 year old defensive quality control coach. His mentor noped off to Arkansas 13 games into his only season in Atlanta.

Not enough poll options.

Murray's got to go regardless.

If the Cardinals completely fall apart and win 5 games or fewer, everyone's gotta go.

If they recover from the hole they're in to go, say, 7-10 or 8-9 vs. a tough 2nd half schedule... Let's see how the O and D each look, and whether the entire staff can completely excise their tendency to turtle.

I get the arguments for cleaning house regardless, but part of me holds out hope that with a new QB and some continuity, this could be a playoff team next year. I know the chances are small, but....

If everyone is fired, the chances of actually hiring a new GM, HC, OC/DC, and drafting a QB who all turn out to be improvements, starting over and actually winning a playoff game in my lifetime seems even less likely.

As much as I stretched with my "the secondary sucks" line, you are going full hyperbole with this. You and I both know there is not one recent post or thread on here (maybe ever) that states I love Gannon as a HC or don't believe he has flaws. Since you like to throw around the "you're better than this" statement, you're better than this overly dramatic and fake news statement.

Got directly asked will Gannon be fired. I believe he stays, but my preference is he leaves. Also asked his future. I believe he will learn from this experience, get another shot and do well.

All's fair when you blatantly misquote me. I am still waiting for you to address the major issues I have pointed out. You might say he has his flaws, but you're more than willing to live with them.

Tell me, if he continues coaching scared and having his coordinators coach scared, and our slide continues to a horrendous losing record, will your opinion change or will you still want the guy back? Because it is undeniable that he is not doing a good coaching job atm.

I'm not sure if he'll ever get another shot, and if he'll do well if he does, but I agree with your statement about his status and your preference.
