but he will indeed generate a lot of short term revenue for his team
and the NFL not to mention the media storm that will follow him regardless.

I’d take him for a five year contract and enjoy the team’s media coverage. Even with his shortcomings he easily could become our best first round quarterback selection to date?

DEVELOPING: Arch Manning’s current draft grade reportedly “varies greatly” amongst NFL scouts and decision makers.

One NFL scout reportedly sees Drake Maye (Patriots QB) as a “reasonable” comparison for Manning at this point in time.

While another NFL scout reportedly sees Daniel Jones (Colts QB) as a close comparison for Manning’s current game.

The Longhorns QB has two years of college eligibility remaining, but is widely considered to be a 2027 NFL Draft prospect.

DEVELOPING: Darian Mensah is reportedly thought to have “franchise QB” potential by several NFL scouts.

One NFL scout reportedly believes there are “comparisons that can be made” between Mensah and Caleb Williams (Bears QB).

Mensah is reportedly thought to be a “better prospect” than Cam Ward was at this point.

The Hurricanes QB is expected to enter the 2027 NFL Draft after this season.

Very intrigued by Mensah. Still shocked Sellars didn’t take that route.

DEVELOPING: Drew Mestemaker is reportedly thought to have “Top-5” pick potential by several NFL scouts.

One NFL scout reportedly believes Mestemaker has “shades” of Philip Rivers (Former Chargers QB) in his game.

However, there is reportedly “debate” on if Mestemaker will declare after this season or forgo until the 2028 NFL Draft.

As one NFL scout puts it, Mestemaker could have “first overall pick” potential in 2028.

DEVELOPING: There are reportedly several NFL scouts that have “higher grades” on CJ Carr right now than Arch Manning.

One NFL scout reportedly believes there’s “stylistic comparisons” between Carr and Tom Brady (Former Patriots QB).

The Notre Dame QB will officially be eligible to declare for the 2027 NFL Draft.

Ah yes, the former Patriots QB. Was thinking of a different one.

Zero interest in Julian Sayin. He's build is too slight, arm is average, and he plays on the 3rd pro team in Ohio with some of the best talent in the nation. Mestmaker should wait. Mensah is a stud. '27 and '28 has lots of really strong options at QB.

Sayin was slight last year. He's noticeably bigger and stronger this year. He does have plenty of weapons but so does Manning and Carr(ex-OSU transfers that couldn't cut it at OSU).

I think it is great to have the names of players to watch. It's natural that the media begins to build up certain names and most people are optimistic this time of year. If you were to ask me, and no one actually has, this is where I would rank the QBs heading into the year.

1 - Dante Moore - Oregon - Had a really good season last year. Is consistent and has a solid build. Will deal with a little bit of change at Oregon this year, but will have the support to be the best QB if he improves from last year.

2 - Arch Manning - Texas - Ended the year pretty strong. He still has a ways to go as a passer but has really unique rushing ability for this class. His rushing ability will be a tie breaker if he can show the growth as a passer and Texas will support him in that.

3 - Darian Mensah - Miami - His third team in three seasons which is going to raise some eyebrows but that may just be the new world for college QBs. He has done a good job checking boxes. He can throw with accuracy . Has some decent mobility though he hasn't shown he is a runner. He will get a significant boost in supporting cast and his draft stock will most likely depend on how he shows he can do vs top competition. He gets a little boost with this being his 3rd season as a starter, and having two quality performances prior.

4 - Julian Sayin - Ohio St. - You have to consider his supporting cast because it is very talented. One year of really good production. Not great performances in his biggest games, but he is also very young. I won't be shocked if he doesn't declare, and am curious to see how his second year goes. Frame is also a little bit of a concern.

5 - CJ Carr - Notre Dame - Might have an argument for higher, but this is also his second real season as a starter. Like his frame. Liked his play against tougher opponents. he needs to show growth but he could go really high as Notre Dame is kinda a fake, top program. Has a chance to do more with less.

6 - Jayden Maiava - He has two years of good starting experience. Has a nice program in USC to back him. Good size and underrated mobility. Had a few really bad performances last year which he will need to avoid this year if he wants to keep this spot and potentially move up.

7 - Drew Mestemaker - OK St - I like him but this is year two and he is also going up in competition. We will see how much Oklahoma St will be able to support him and his development. His schedule isn't too bad but he can't crap the bed vs the tougher opponents and really has to make statements vs the lesser programs in order for people to believe in him being a top prospect.

8 - LaNorris Sellers - South Carolina - Lots of experience. Lots of tools. I don't think he has had the best coaching. I'm not sure he is in the best situation, but IMO he has a lot of room to get better and maybe that happens in 2026.

I haven't had a chance to really get to Lagway. Leavitt is a question mark for me due to his size and tools. I think Chambliss is small but maybe he continues to get better and Lane continues to unlock parts of his game.

Sayin will almost certainly declare if everything goes as planned. They have another top-notch QB on deck in Tavien St. Claire.

Maybe. He is 21, shorter, doesn't run and is on a stacked roster. Players seem to be staying longer in college and I could see him doing what Dante Moore did and staying one more year if he thinks he can improve. It's feasible that he has a good, not great year, which impacts his draft stock maybe more than it should.

TRENDING: Julian Sayin appears to have grown into a LEGITIMATE NFL frame.

Sayin has reportedly reported to fall camp measured at 6’-1” and 214 pounds.

For reference, Caleb Williams was listed at 6’-1” and 215 pounds during his rookie year.
