He was NAILS in Luther, and would be an incredible Bond. Silly that people would be upset with this. Now, if they tried to do something like a Jane Bond, then yeah, that would break the concept. A black Bond is just fine.

As much as I love Craig, I think he should have quit while he was behind after this last godawful movie. He doesn't sound very motivated for the next one, so I'm not too hopeful.

my problem with Cavill is he just never brings the fun, IMO. He's a little too stiff for Bond.

He's a great hammer... used to perfection in the latest Mission Impossible.

For me, that's an understatement. I like him in the right role but there are a lot of roles I wouldn't want him near. I know I'm in the minority but I thought he was poorly cast in Man From Uncle too.

Disagree, his part of the "fun" fell flat for me. Direction and the other cast members saved it IMO.

I love Statham, I'd take him in just about any role. Just watch Spy and Snatch and tell me he couldn't carry Bond. He wouldn't be my first choice but he wouldn't be a bad choice IMO.

Me either but it's because I like Statham more than I like post Brosnan Bond. And committing to that series seems to take quite a toll on the 007 actors.

Isn’t he just kind of too big to be Bond? I mean bond is a physical guy, but historically he’s at his best when he’s a physical underdog and has to rely upon his wits to defeat a superior opponent.
