Something tells me they will find a way to bring Kirk Cousins here, which will lead to a summer full of Palmer and Warner comparisons from local media. I thoroughly hate the idea, but it seems like the most likely scenario to me.
cousins is not that guy

This whole "let Gannon and Monti try with a new QB" rhetoric is so baffling to me. I don't want to see Brissett start another year, but I also don't see him as the major factor in this losing streak. Steve Wilks got 2 division wins with Josh Rosen at QB. Gannon has 0 division wins this year with 2 better QBs. It's all just an excuse for Bidwill not wanting to spend more money to cover up yet another of his mistakes.
That's a great point. If they all stay maybe make them roll with Brissett so we can draft a QB once they get ish canned.

I am not sure about Cousins. Solid in the short passing game but it seems like his arm strength isn't there.

I may be the exception but I think Brissett has been fairly good since taking over. My only complaint is towards the end of the games, he seems to turn into Kenny Stabler and the River Boat Gambler. I'm not sure why a switch goes off and he takes such a huge risk.

The team has to come up with a long term answer at QB. Granted, Brissett isn't the answer but he will do in a pinch as we fill in that long term QBOF. I've said it before, trade for Levis and pick up a QB in the draft but find the diamond in the rough because aside from Mendoza (who we can't touch without trading the farm), Simpson (had a very bad game against Georgia and I wasn't impressed with his decision making) and Moore (might have some baggage or may not come out) or any of the other potential underclass QB's are worth an early pick or trading up for. Personally, I want us to go best available player (hopefully WR or OL). Take a chance on a QB in the 3rd round.

That would be rough if you're JG. Pinning your hopes to Cousins leading the team eight or nine wins or whatever it will take to keep your job for 2027.

Yeah exactly what is the plan for the bolded part?

If we run it back with BBQ behind a rebuilt o-line, we'll probably win seven or eight games in 2026. We'll be drafting 14th or something similar for the 2027 season.

That's why I think we have to go QB this April. Also because we need the cost control aspect just as much as we need a legitimate solution to QB1 play for our offense on the field.

I think the next three years of our franchise depends on if this Spring MO can find our QBOTF at #8.

Whoever is left at QB at #8 is going to be a reach. So naturally that is what we will do.

i tend to agree with this. Its why my head wants the team to lose out (but the heart still wants them to win out) -- and hoping and praying the Giants, Saints, Raiders, etc etc etc find ways to win a couple games

even if they dont get to #1 (highly unlikely) --its getting close to make a trade up do-able.

Time to draft a quarterback, start over again; including a new staff. Fix the Oline, draft a dang quarterback, and get good staff/coordinators. The Cards have some good pieces and aren't as far as people might think. Because of that maybe Monti, Gannon stay. In the owners box it appeared Monti will be back. He wouldn't have sat there if he was hot.

And yet posters want to keep him. I wonder how they make decisions with failure in their personal or professional lives or if sports is just the bizarro outlier (like those of us that experience success in those venues and yet continue to support a gawd awful organization for some unknown unreasonable reason)

I am all for a reset again, but we know MB is not. I think 95% of us agree there are three areas of concerns, Monti, JG and his staff and Kyler.

Kyler goes, we see what he does next to see who was right.

That leaves Monti and JG and his staff. This is where I feel there is overlap. Several of these players appear to be bust or just bad picks. I ask this question, how is it that most all pick have not been developed?

The secondary picks seem to have been the best developed so far and that is still maybe 50/50, right? When you take 10 or them over 3 years, you better develop a few.

DL, Stills is the only one to develop? I am not looking at Nolan yet and he will be fine without development.

Zero edge development, zero ILB development, zero OL development outside of PJJ who is in the Nolan bucket.

Michael Wilson was either slow to develop or was being held back by Kyler and/or the game plan. Zero QB/WR development otherwise. FFS, they couldn't even develop a generational talent WR.

TE does seem to have gotten marginally better.

The OL looked 1000 times better with the same cast last season with a coach that could develop, same with the DL. It was doing better with less last year. Both coaches are gone.

Plus JG's horrible training staff.

If we are going new QB, which we 99% probably are, then I am for a new coaching staff too as I do not see them developing a rookie QB.

Using Gannons words against him.
“ We need to coach them up better. We need to put players in a position to win.”
Three years. It ain’t happening.
They know what to do. They have the leaders.

“Kyler is ready to have his best season ever.”

I saw theee times they showed rush from BJ to have him drop in coverage. Makes zero sense.

That's all Browning has been doing too it seems dropping into coverage. Just hard to watch and as fast as Browning is it makes no sense to consistently drop him into coverage

If we're going to draft a new QB, we may as well reset the coaching staff.

JG had it going for a minute last year (when we were 6-4) but it looks like he's lost the team. There's no going back.
If you look at the bears they drafted Williams and by the end of the year the fired their head coach. In comes Ben Johnson and it’s been like night and day.
I can see us drafting a QBOTF and rolling next year since it will be another losing one and then replacing Gannon.
The difference with the Bears is their GM actually made some compelling moves. He replaced 60% of their o-line in one off season.
