interesting he talked about development

in the last four weeks or so -- a couple revelations:

Mike Wilson is a polished WR who can get open when the entire defense knows he is really the only option at WR. He has done it against some upper tier defenses during that stretch. This is a WR a playoff team can win with {context: to be a good team, the Cards need players who could start and contribute for a playoff level team.}

the second: Jon Gaines. Last two weeks he has been good. Apparently really good. After watching the slow motion disaster of Evan Brown -- how is it that it takes him missing two games for personal reasons to get Gaines on the field?

This isnt a good reflection on the staff ---

Davis Webb is interesting

The Top NFL Head Coaching Candidates Teams Will Consider for 2026

I am all in on Joe Brady from Buffalo, a 36 year old OC who with no true #1 WR this year is #3 in PPG, #2 in Total Offense, #1 in RYPG, #4 in Yards Per Play and #4 in 3rd Down Conversions!

Hire him and let him get his QB, even if that mean trading up big time!

Yea I’m not so sure. Josh Allen is the cheat code that makes everybody look good. The guy is just that awesome and a complete freak.

I would have said the same thing expect his passing numbers are way down, 13th in the NFL. They got off to a slow start and Brady made adjustments to get to them near the top in offense primarily with their running game and to 10-4 after beating the Patriots. You want coaches to don't say, "the system works", but look for ways to adapt and adjust. That is why I like him.

The Bills have run the same super conservative offense ever since Brady took over. The only "adjustment" they ever make is if they go down 2 scores they start letting Josh pass/run and then the offense goes nuclear.

The Bills most talented pass catcher is Dalton Kincaid and Brady only puts him on the field for ~40-50% of the snaps because he's not the most talented blocker. McBride isn't that great at blocking either. I can see Brady cutting McBride's snap count in half too, but it won't work because we don't have Josh Allen turning into superman.

If we keep JG as head coach, we'll almost certainly not be able to get a good offensive coordinator to replace Petzing. Good offensive coordinators are generally going to avoid a team with a head coach who's very much on the hot seat. We'd probably end up with some mediocre offensive coordinator, who's maybe a bit better than Petzing. :bang:

Was just thinking this morning, I’m so glad Monti cost us a premium draft pick to ensure we landed the legendary JG as our HC, it sure has been worth it.
Since when did 5th round draft picks become premium? We still had a 3rd we just had to swap our 3rd with theirs. Still not a great look but “losing a premium pick” is a bit overstated.

They gave up the 66 pick to get the 94 pick. I do believe pick 66 is absolutely a premium pick. We were picking so high this draft, this particular pick was only two spots removed from being a second rd pick.
