It’s truly insane that we are possibly looking at a 3rd consecutive losing season and quite possibly the worst record in Cardinals history when all’s said and done in the 3rd consecutive losing season of this regime, and the regime will get a fourth chance to make everyone miserable next year as well.
It's really crazy and MB is at fault for now seeing this clearly and making the necessary changes

Whether it's being cheap or stubborn he's blind at times

If only the damage were limited to next year...these guys CANNOT be the ones choosing our next QB.

Don’t worry guys the story of the Cards keeping Gannon next year is just for content and clicks by local schlubs. No one else actually is saying that.

I think we're at the spot the Broncos were in with Russ Wilson as their QB. Horrible contract and underperforming QB. QB got axed at a high cost for the team. Found a young hungry QB and are what - 17-10 since pulling the trigger and getting away from Wilson.

No one should watch Cardinal games. It’s obvious the coaches don’t.

2024 Draft Update

MHJ - Barring a miracle, he will fall short of 1,000 yards in each of his first two seasons.

DRob - We are currently debating if he can be as good as renowned semi-bust LJ Collier

Melton - Still looking for his first INT, and his missed tackle rate increased to 18.4% this season.

Benson - He has twice as many trips to the IR as he does TDs.

Adams - Already benched for performance. Playing out of pure necessity now.

Tip - Probably the best 3rd rounder from this draft class, and he has a career 55 yards receiving.

Elijah Jones - Still hasn't played a defensive snap. He will be 26 next month.

DTD - Was playing well before the injury. Should be a solid starter at worst next year.

Xavier Thomas - On Texans PS.

Christian Jones - Has played 74 offensive snaps in almost two years.

Tijuana Palmer - On PS. 0 career catches.

Jaden Davis - On PS. 0 career snaps. Will be 25 next season.

If this is Monti's defining draft class, he is the definition of a very poor drafter.

this is so frustrating

too many "I'm smarter than the rest of the NFL picks" in Adams, Elijah Jones, Christian Jones -- all taken well before projected.

The Melton trade down just flat out miscalculated and got greedy for one extra later round pick.

I like Tip, but taken at least a round too early

This was the draft for Monti - he even wasted a chance at Will Anderson (best player in his draft) for PJ and some magic beans. Many of the magic beans were COMPLETELY wasted in this draft.

If you tell everyone you're going to build through the draft, you sure as hell better be good at drafting. What has Monti shown to deserve another year?

Yeah, it's not good. I will give him a pass on MHJ as I thought he was the guy, as did many others. The trade down for Melton was insanely dumb. Enough said about the bad picks, of which they are legion. We came out of the draft with an underachieving #1 receiver who is now oft injured, a blocking TE (albeit a good one), and a future starting safety. If it were a normal draft class, you'd say it could be worse. With 12 picks and this being the benchmark draft, it is absolutely awful.

Yes, between the 2024 FA class and the 2024 draft, Monti crapped the bed. Couple that with his choice to forego FA in 2023, and you get the 2025 collapse. Add in that the NFC West is a tremendously aggressive and competitive division, and this is why they are so far behind.

Gannon would be able to make a case to stay if he and his staff didn't also have numerous issues that are tough to look past. Just too many mistakes to forgive IMO.

And yet posters want to keep him. I wonder how they make decisions with failure in their personal or professional lives or if sports is just the bizarro outlier (like those of us that experience success in those venues and yet continue to support a gawd awful organization for some unknown unreasonable reason)

Those magic beans really did turn out to be magically. Particularly when you consider that all magic really is, is illusion.
