Sure, well done team. But we're talking about the offense and the offense has sucked.
I realize you expect K1to call the offense, block, run routes, get open, pass the ball, catch it, run for first downs, and be the catalyst o win but he is just one guy.

Agree. Kyler had an couple issues but if there was even a single testicle in our coaching staff this game isn't close. They could share it for fuxsake
What happened to this guy? This is the HC I wanted and thought we were getting...which is why I didn't care at all about the tampering situation.

Clearly better than Harrison:

Nabers
Bowers
McConkey
Thomas Jr

Then Marvin is in this tier:

Harrison
Worthy
Pearsal
Coleman
MHJ had a bad game...100%. On the other hand he has 11 targets on the season. He is basically running wind sprints.

McConkey had 9 in his first game.

Nabers...25 over 2 games.

BTJ...19 over 2 games.

Bowers 8 in one game.

So I think it is a bit naive to complain about MH 's production compared to other WRs when other WRs are actually being used in the offense.

It’s also annoying that Charmin has already been surpassed by McMillian and Matthew Golden.

I said at the draft that MHJ was a can’t miss as a guy who will not bust. We might have to get used to the idea that PJJ and MHJ are guys whose ceilings are “will make a couple pro bowls.”
Brutal payoff for two years of deeply regrettable football.

Thats that winning culture we sacrificed the 2023 season to build.
Tet has 19 targets in 2 games vs MHJs 11. One player is a focal point and the other is not.

Building a lead and then playing to not lose is just plain playing scared.
But yet all coaches do it. It's crazy to go soft defense when there is still 20 minutes of playing time left. It's like the prevent defense in the last two minutes when you lead by 1. Something none of us will ever understand.

I hope you are right but I don't have the same faith in MHJ as you.
I remember when the Patriots came out and started a game with 21 straight passes.
I would love to see us do something like that. This Qb, OC and MHJ needs to establish MHJ as a star or just another guy.
He needs a Nabers game with 10 targets. If he were to get that opportunity and excel it would loosen up this offense.
It would stop defenses from their focused of stopping our run which I truly believe they do when facing us.

It's not faith, it's understanding that he is not getting opportunities.

Here is where MHJ ranks.

55th in the NFL in targets.

51st in the NFL in yards per target.

62nd in the NFL in receptions.

34th in the NFL in yards per reception.

61st in average depth of target.

Consider this. Kyler has attempted three passes deep to MHJ. One was a 45 yard completion vs the Saints. One was almost a huge play vs the Saints. The third was a 38 yards pass interference. Those aren't outcomes of a bad or mid WR. Only an incompetent OC like Petzing wouldn't' emphasize this more.

Two 75yard drives given up in the fourth quarter and a onsides recovery and the half the board is saying the QB is to blame for a close game where we were up 27-3.

If it wasn't so funny it would be sad.

Your agenda is clouding your reading. Seriously, I think you THINK you are reading this, but you aren't. He is getting some blame, and rightly so. NOBODY is saying HE is to blame for the close game. Nobody. Quote one person saying he is the sole reason. I'll wait.

Woooooooe

Lets not go throwing our OC under the bus. His offensive philosophy is the future of the NFL.

Have you met Brit Card before?

There are plenty of others as well. If there weren't we wouldn't have a 200page plus thread on K1 and growing after 2 wins to open the season.
