I mean, Calais made it clear he’s not trying to ring-chase. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have signed with Atlanta & Miami beforehand.

Sure I just wanted him to get a playoff run with the Cardinals 1 more time. He is the last connection of a time when the franchise was butt cheeks

CBS was very careful to frame the camera to hide the crowd.

I know the stadium was at least loud enough that the Jags had to go silent count. Was it crowded? How full?

Besides the broken record of the Cardinals losing yet another close one, did the site lag or not load for anyone? I was on and I didn't seem to have an issue, but wanted to make sure everyone else was good as well.
It's been much better since you fixed it

Thank you

It makes game day a lot better when the game thread isn't bogging down

I dispute some of these claims and some are contradictory. How is he a good route runner but not good at creating separation? He's no physically less talented than Puka, Kupp, Justin Jefferson or Larry.

I feel like you mean "He isn't really fast".

Mike is the only WR in the league to have back to back 10+ catch 100 yard games this season outside Puka.

Another thing about the Michael Wilson "renaissance"

After Conner and Benson went down, we started throwing it a lot more. Like a lot.

In BBQ's six games we're averaging 43.5 passing attempts per game (Holy moly).

In K1s five games we averaged 22 passing attempts per game.

Part of that is because JB has been better on 3rd down, but part if it is that we were playing with the lead a lot in all of K1s games except SEA.

If you've got McBride and Marvelous Marvin Harrison as receiving options, and you throw 22 times in a game, how many times do you think your middling WR2 is going to be the first read?

Conversely, in garbage time, with MHJ hurt, and DP throwing on every down, then how many times is MW, suddenly the primary option because Big Play Trey is on the sideline exhausted, going to be the first option?

I'm proud of Wilson for stepping up, and I might offer him a small 2nd contract. But I still want to try to upgrade that position in the offseason if a good opportunity presents itself.

Happy Thanksgiving Britcard! ;) It's about the same as Canada's boxing day I guess there in the UK?

From Mike Sando's Pick Six column in The Athletic today:
• Cardinals let them off the hook:

NFL teams are 350-12 since 2000 when finishing games with a plus-4 turnover differential.

Arizona became one of the 12 during its 27-24 home loss to the Jaguars, who won with quarterback Trevor Lawrence tossing three interceptions and losing a fumble, which the Cardinals returned for a touchdown.

The Cardinals own one of the other defeats on that dubious list. If you don't remember it, there's a good chance you remember hearing about it, or have watched then-coach Dennis Green's iconic rant afterward.

Is he, is he really??? Hahaha, he's gone man.
Maybe he is. Or maybe he isn’t. Going 1-5 without him this year isn’t exactly a ringing endorsement of the Cardinals being better off without him. Do I think Murray is really injured? Yes I absolutely do. But, even as a Kyler fan, being injured & not being available has definitely hurt this team. It’s been a cursed season for sure. Who really knows what’s being discussed behind closed doors. Nothing would surprise me as to what the Cardinals will do or won’t do this offseason. Just be prepared that if Murray is sent packing, wherever he lands, he will be very good. And unfortunately, we will be a bad football team for at least the next few seasons. I’ve been watching this team since 1964. The only consistent thing I’ve seen is that every 3-4 years they make a coaching change. And that approach has gotten us nowhere. We can blame Monti, we can blame JG, we can blame Murray. But, the ONLY common denominator in all the years of futility with this franchise is the Bidwill family. So go ahead and fire JGMO & trade/cut Murray. History only proves that doing that won’t matter a lick.

When Brissett has time he is very effective. When he doesn’t, not so much.
So what’s the simple equation and solution???
Brissett is an experienced QB who know where he wants to go with the ball. The reason why he’s NOT a legitimate starting NFL QB is that he has slow feet & a long release. That’s ultimately the kiss of death for QB’s. Our OL would need to be significantly better for Brissett to have lasting success in our offense. Love him or hate him, Murray’s elusiveness camouflaged just how bad our OL truly was. Sad to think that after drafting a QB #1 overall in 2019, this franchise has only drafted 1 first round legit Offensive Lineman since.

No matter who our qb is this o-line has to be significantly improved.
Caleb Williams struggled last year. They fired their staff and brought in an OC to be their head coach that was running one of the best offense in the league. Now , Caleb is just doing fine.

But note. Their GM replaced 60% of their o-line.

If you were GM PA, what would be your plan for this upcoming offseason? for FA and the draft?

I don’t care if Jesus H. Christ was our qb. This offensive line needs a major overhaul. We can’t run and a we can’t pass protect.
Brissett is a bridge for our QBOFT. MO has to fix the o-line this off season and not with a bunch of 5th-6th round picks.

It was well attended. I was a bit surprised but then thought that there won't be a home game for a bit, so this was people's one chance to go to a home game before Thanksgiving. Saw sections where the seats stood out a bit more than others but walking around, out on the concourse, etc., seemed as busy as most home games. Funny thing - I saw Cards fans, I saw Jaguars fans, and I even saw several people wearing concert shirts of The Warning, the all-girl group whose rock band played at halftime. :D

This is crazy. WHat more could anyone possibly want than a WR that when targeted he catches the ball?

I fell like you think 33/25 303 yards and 12 YPA from Ja'Marr Chase or Puka Nakua is elite, but when Mike Wilson does the exact same thing there some mystery external factor at play.
