Wow. Bridges slams it home. Diallo with the slam as well.

Interesting tweet. Suns need another scoring threat off the dribble.

I asked Monty about the Brogdon-Sabonis two-man game and how DA-Book can get there. He made the great point of Book getting blizted so much that he can’t really run a consistent two-man game with Ayton.

4:27 PM - 22 Jan 2020

So how do the Pacers keep Brogdon from getting blitzed?

You got all that from one comment about Booker and Ayton running a two-man game? Monty has raved about Rubio's playmaking ability all season and has specifically mentioned how it's like having a coach on the floor. Every time Rubio is brought up, whether by Monty or a reporter asking a question, he heaps more praise on him and his leadership in the offense.

Monty was replying to a specific question about Booker and Ayton running plays like 2 Pacers do, for him to ignore that question to bring up Rubio wouldn't make sense.
You're sticking up for a coach's explanation of failure?

Sorry, Hoop. I don't find that inspiring.

I dozed off four times during the first quarter of this blah game.

I didn't want to. But there was nothing to entertain us.

As the Suns lost the quarter by 6. Ho hum.

Saric needs to be cut already. Starting him all but guarantees slow starts for the team, and management refuses not to start him.

Meanwhile, imagine how much better off this team would be with T. J. Warren, Brandon Clarke/Jaxson Hayes/Tyler Herro, Eric Paschall and a future first round pick, instead of Dario Saric, Cam Johnson, Ty Jerome and Aron Baynes.

And now we're down by 9 with 9:37 to go in the half.

Only because Sabonis missed two free throws.

The Pacers are as blah as our Suns.

But I don't give a rusty **** about the Pacers.

When the coach is asked about something that doesn't work, what do you want him to say? He said why it doesn't and somehow you interpret that as an explanation for failure as well as him dropping the charade that Rubio is the team's facilitator? That doesn't even make sense.

Welp Ayton sucks tonight
He was exhausted after the last game.

Again I say that the Suns are now playing desperation basketball.

I'll try to not post that again, because it is not going to change
until we get people calling the shots who know what they're doing.

Ayton with 2 personal fouls and no backup outside of Diallo.

Sabonis is manhandling Saric, and Warren is manhandling Oubre. That's your game right there...

Ayton (8) showed some anger on that slam.

And as out of it as Ayton looks, his match-up tonight isn't the problem. Saric versus Sabonis and Oubre versus Warren is.

I am starting to wonder if Oubre now has Trevor Ariza syndrome. Either that, or he still isn't over his concussion, in which case he shouldn't be playing. He has been awful lately (both before and after the concussion).

Hoop, a good coach doesn't have to alibi. It's his job to make it work.

I'm sorry, but I cannot condone a leadership team that doesn't lead.

My feeling is that not being satisfied with the status quo is what
fans should feel. I pay for cable to be entertained by the Suns and,
damnit, I want to get my money's worth.

I am still struggling with the question as to whose leadership failure this is. Is it Monty? Or more likely is it that Monty has his hands tied by James Jones and Robert Sarver?

Indeed, and yet he is light years better than what we had for the two seasons prior to this.

At this point, the Phoenix Suns very well might be the worst run/managed franchise in professional sports.
