I hope the D-backs score somewhere between four and a kajillion
runs in the first inning so they don't have to play catchup.

And, oh yeah, because a half hour after it starts, I'll be switching
to the Mercury game on CBSSN at 7 PM. :)

And Robbie goes to a full count, and walks, the first batter.

He pitched his last start from the stretch and it helped.

So today, he is back to the windup. Inconsistency breeds inconsistency.

A wild pitch and the runner advances to 2B. 'Not looking good so far.

But Robbie has his beard back.

I think the WNBA postponed games, aligning with NBA today.

And he walks the second batter. BB is back doing color commentary and,
in announcing the D-backs defense, says, "Hasn't needed them yet."

Arenado, who has been slumping, with a 2-run double.

Unfortunately, Robbie is consistent.

Yes, all three WNBA games, including the Mercury, are postponed.

'Glad to see them take a stand!

So, I'll be a glutton for punishment and stay with the CFB D-backs. *

* Come from behind. Or, more accurately, TTCFB -- try to come from behind. :(

93 pitches in 4 innings. It will be another 5 inning performance (if he can make it that far).

Robbie left runners on 2nd & 3rd in the 4th.

Eight strikeouts, but what does that matter if he can't pitch more than half a game?

He also walked five.

I consider that selfish pitching. More concerned with strikeouts than winning or pitching
seven innings. Over and over. No improvement.

D-backs with runners on 1st & 3rd with no one out. And a sac fly for Walker.

Escobar hits a pop fly high in the air for the second out. And Ahmed strikes out.

2-1 Rockies.

And Robbie comes out with no out in the 5th and a runner on 1B, his 6th walk.

Ugh!

López is in. Another bullpen game.

Hearing about the leagues and MLB teams deciding to not play today,
it is disappointing that our D-backs (the Sedona Rednecks?) are playing,

For that reason, I'm turning off the game now!

Going going gone!

Damn Walker was about 10 inches from a walk off grand slam. Nick strikes out again to end the game with bases loaded in back to back games. It was a ball, which sucks.

We tried to come back and almost did but pitching did us in.

8 game losing streak

His numbers aren’t the worst on the team but Nick Ahmed is by far the most frustrating hitter to watch. In any clutch situation he’s an automatic out.

Wait, so you're upset they didn't boycott the game and played?

Yes! My gut feeling was one of disappointment that other teams and leagues
made a statement by not playing, but not our D-backs.

As smooth as Steve and BB are, it was uncomfortable listening to them as
though there weren't a national phenomenon going on far more important
than sports. I just couldn't keep listening to it!

Politics ruined sports so no, I'm glad they didn't walk the line and cancel their game and I hope they don't in the future. I'm also glad Bob and Steve didn't talk about the situation going on. Hear it every where else. Nice to just enjoy the game without hearing about the political bs, even though they stink right now.

As far as the game, wouldn't it be nice if Torey would allow his team to hit this way all game,
instead of his obsession with hitting the ball in the air for most of the game?

And, as previously stated, playing catchup puts a lot of pressure and stress on the hitters, which
puts a lot of pressure and stress on the pitchers. Bottom line -- we lost the game!

The few times we've put rallies together (vs. solo home runs), the next day he was back to "lift".

The man has the shortest attention span in baseball. This proves that our lineup is capable of
what they did in this game. If only they'd be encouraged to go for singles, doubles and triples
from the start of the game, instead of waiting for the 8th and 9th innings, when it's too late.

Shaggy, it's not just about stinking politics.

It is about murder!

We are all entitled to our opinions.

I can't believe how close that was to a walk off Grand Slam. Inches!

Such bad luck.
