That's what I have been saying. A real separation between the bottom 1/3 and top 1/3. It blows my mind that as crappy as we have been we are still only pick #6. Outside of decent QB range which is either Mendoza or Moore.
If you really believe in one of those guys, you can trade up. I just don't want Monti anywhere near that decision.

The difference between the hitting of our defense compared to the defense we are playing is so glaring. We really sucked talent wise in Gannon's first year but at least they hit.
They over performed last year with the talent we had
I know the Kyler stans want posters like me to say it is, but clearly it is not. This defense is on Monti, Rallis, and Gannon. Stinks like a skunk.
I don't think Pappoe, Simon and ADG are missing tackles because they are quitting. I think it is because they aren't good.

Per PFR, his missed tackle % is the 3rd lowest of his career. I think his issue is that he is old.

And honestly, I don't really believe a lot of these players are checking out because they aren't really good enough to. Most of the guys getting snaps are trying to stay in the league if possible. They want someone to give them another shot at some point and this is their moment to put tape out. I also think this is why you see some of the vets going on IR or getting less snaps once the game becomes non-competitive.
Let me guess, you saw a play where Budda didnt make a tackle and now you think he's missing tackles left and right.
This is what’s been noticeable to me as well. Lots of glancing blows instead of squaring up. When they do those glancing blows it is easier to turn into a missed or broken tackle.
