So we are tailoring schemes now for the backup but not the starting QB.

I hate these clowns

Oh wait you're probably right they don't like Kyler. Oh wait...again Gannon already said the QB they hate will be starting once healthy .

Crazy cope

Doesn't matter what they call on offense for KM. He isn't going to be productive. There's a reason they're saying nothing is wrong with the scheme. It's a Kyler issue. He sucks. Sorry to tell you.

Brian Callahan fired. Omg
And they go with Mike McCoy as their interim head coach?

You know, the same Mike McCoy that was our offensive coordinator in the Wilks era and was fired in October of that same year as we averaged 11.1 points per game under his offensive leadership.

That's going backwards to me

McCoy is not the answer to anything

O ye of little faith. MOJG aren’t taking any shortcuts on this rebuild. Sustained success is right around the corner as long as you believe.
Like all loser regimes, prosperity is always just around the corner.

Just curious where everyone is on this. To me you have to deliver a playoff berth after 3 seasons. You don’t even have to win a game in the playoffs, just get there. Anything less is a colossal failure IMO.

As far was what I believe will happen, he gets another year no matter what.

Tough to say. Our team seems to still play for him. I think he deserves a shot with a new younger QB but that would only get him another year..is that worth it? He isn't capable of running an offense, wont be able to develop a new QB and is totally beholden to whoever the OC is. He would make for a great DC.

If we went with a rookie qb next season, we'd probably have a losing record as the rookie adjusts to the Nfl. That would presumably be four seasons in a row with a losing record for JG (I'm assuming we finish this season with a losing record) and I really don't want to keep a head coach who's had 4 losing seasons in a row to start off their tenure.
Plus the next head coach after JG (assuming he's fired) would be stuck with JG's rookie quarterback.

gannon's a goner

this aint the division to be figuring things out

gannon can roll down his window - talk tough all he wants but truth is the nfc west is hostile and his hand picked lieutenants are docile

we've hoisted 3 divisional banners in our 36 years here and this guy's taking his time to defend the undefendable - it's good to have your staff's back and all... but all the way to the unemployment office?

talk is cheap - stop hoping to win games - stop treating coordinators like colleagues - demand excellence or expect an early exit

What’s crazy is Seattle canned their QB who led them to 3 straight winning seasons to bring in a journeyman QB and are already showing that was the right decision. Immediate turnaround is always possible with a competent coaching staff (I hate to admit it but it only took Sean Payton 1 year in Denver to right the ship).

Granted I know you are talking about a rookie QB, but they could sign a vet and be successful if they knew how to coach.

How can ownership in good faith bring him back for a 4th consecutive losing campaign if this year yet again ends poorly. That in my mind is the definition of insanity.
