The Titans’ loss is still just……wow. It’s almost comical.

I think Monti is fine, but Gannon absolutely needs to follow Kyler out the door.
I don’t know how you can absolve Monti unless it’s just because you’ve liked his draft picks. He obviously hasn’t given us any advantage.

I’d describe him as hapless, but sometimes bad luck is sticky and this is a results oriented business.

Bad wording.

I meant, Monti is fine in that Michael will give him another chance at HC. Do I think Monti deserves that chance? Hell no.

I genuinely can’t imagine losing to that Titans team & being fine with bringing this regime back even without Kyler.
same. That includes Monti. It won't... and we probably won't even fire Ganoon after three years of losing.

Yep

And none of the great QBs in the game are traditional pocket passers except for one and he is out injured again in Cinnci.

Strictly pocket passing in the NFL is dead. Yet our throwback OC with his wing T offense wants that to be the model.

I am underwhelmed by Monti

I suspect Mike likes him because he eschews vets in lieu of younger players (in the name of roster building) -- and that is cheaper than the alternative.

my fear is Mike picked a guy whose substantive experience came from the Patriots and the Titans--

we are finding the Patriots looked good mostly from Tom Brady on offense and Belichek on defense.

In Tenn --he joined a 12 win franchise and left when it was a 7 win franchise.

What i have noticed is a "im smarter than you" approach to certain picks -with guys like Isiah Adams and Jon Gaines taken at least a couple rounds earlier than projected. Thats great if they work --or if even one had worked -- but neither have. Go down the list of O Lineman taken right after Adams -- a variety of functional o lineman in that list.

IF you are going to move off of the QB -- I think a full reset is necessary

We need the GM, HC and QB all on the same timeline. Otherwise we get:

Rookie QB playing for a HC that is on the hotseat, who likely has hired a new OC to save himself for one more year.

The next time I get lectured, talked down to, and told I'm just being negative because I don't blindly support a new GM that is not doing his job, I'm just blasting the poster for it, ban or not. I got sick and tired of a a certain nameless poster pillorying anyone that gave Monti even an iota of criticism.

O ye of little faith. MOJG aren’t taking any shortcuts on this rebuild. Sustained success is right around the corner as long as you believe.

MO has been so poor at his job from the moment he got here.

Not resigning guys and letting them walk on defense and signing garbage his first off season to his not being able to draft a single pro bowl player yet.

No one should be given a pass on this team till they have proven they know what they are doing. MO for sure hasn’t done that yet.

So we are tailoring schemes now for the backup but not the starting QB.

They tailor the offense every week to whoever the QB is. You think Baltimore is running the same offense with Cooper Rush leading the team?
