Kyler had one horrific play, one incredible play, and a bunch of back and forth mid stuff. He really should have had a TD on the first drive but those got robbed by poor play from Marv and a BS penalty.

He was like a B- to C+ player today.

The running game was horrific outside of like 2 Conner plays. Benson is hilariously overrated. We should have taken Skattebo in round 3 last year.

Gannon is Vince Tobin part 2. All he is missing is a clipboard. He is passive to a fault. He is unemotional to a fault. He gets a D because they won but really it was a F

Marvin Harrison is going to be the 4th best receiver drafted two years ago and it is what it is. We are 0-2 on "generational" talents. Mid is what we get.
I’d give Kyler a B today. Honestly I don’t expect much more. He hit a couple down the middle and several crossing patterns that are enormously under used in this offense. The interception continuous to be like tinnitus.

only positive is that the Cardinals won't be cocky going into the 49ers game

Otherwise, there is a TON of negative to take away from this game.... JG lets the coordinators play wayyyy too conservatively when we have the lead

All of this. There’s just very little “special” across the board for this team. It’s just so much mid.

The 2024 Draft is going to go down as one of the biggest whiffs in franchise history.

You had unprecedented draft capital and came away with (in order of impact) an okay WR1, a good safety, a blocking TE, a meh CB, a 3 technique who is useless, a zero impact CB, a horrific guard, a preseason darling DE, a horrific back up tackle, and 2 guys who got cut.

This needs to be talked about more. The conservative play calling on BOTH sides of the ball is concerning.

Our team is coached to be so situational rather than dictate anything. It’s clear they just want to run the ball, play it safe at all times unless the situation calls for us to be aggressive like before the half.

After watching today, I believe Kyler's second read on every play is the check down and if it is open he is supposed to take it. He has said it more than once that he is just running the offense.

Right. Would love to see them play the whole game like the Panthers played the second half…Urgency. Commitment.

They had zero fire when playing with that lead. I don’t even think they were trying to get first downs after they went up 27-3.

Maybe a terrible play but if your whole team and coaching staff falls apart after a pick just fuckignnpack up and call it a season that’s the softest crap ever! They were up 27-3 and the COACHES decided to play like botches the rest of the way on both sides of the ball that’s why this game closed out like it did, don’t try to pin it on a pick where his arm was hit and ball went up into the air how ridiculous.
I love your consistency in releasing Kyler from any blame ever. At least we always know where you stand.

Thomas is off to a slow start this year too but much of that is Trevor just isn't that great.
Trev isn’t good but Thomas had multiple drops today tbh

Actually still can’t believe Jacksonville lost that game

I only saw bits of it I saw 1 drop didnt' see the others. I have him on my fantasy team he's been a bust so far.

Like I said last week, tough to overcome a mediocre QB and mediocre OC when the only special you have is a tightend and defensive backfield that may all be injured.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say this team isn’t gonna keep compete for the division at all this year…. That chemistry that we were so excited about with MHJ has disappeared, which I warned It probably could earlier in the week… We got excited a few times last year and it went back to zip the following week… MHJ can’t fight for 50-50 ball in the end zone, even though he bulked up and muscled himself up, just for that… still dropping balls right in his hand…. The one thing we could count on the run blocking has been ass…..

Larry would have high pointed that catch

I had him 4th in my initial comment so sure, move Thomas to the 2nd tier but that 2nd tier has Keon Coleman and Ricky Pearsal in it.
I think last year keeps BTJ in the first tier until he puts up a mid season. Last year was spectacular.

Exactly. It was almost palpable that you feel the intensity let up. It's like this staff is too much on the intellectual side rather than giving guys a kick in the ass or lighting into them when they let up.

After they recovered the onside kick all of sudden we started playing with our hair on fire. It resulted in some penalties but all of the sudden the intensity was back. It shouldn't be like that. The coaches and team leaders should not allow guys to let up like that. But when you rush four and play Budda in two deep 15 yards back every play then even he can't really crank everyone up.
