Yeah we’re either going 2-10 or 1-11 with Brissett.

I understand many are ready to move on from K1, but if teams call our bluff thinking we’re going to cut him no matter what, thus leading to low ball offers (that is if teams make any offers at all), I think they do have to consider bringing him back at least for 1 more year, even if it’s to make cutting him for the 2027 season more affordable.

Shockingly to me, many here still want to keep Gannon, but logically I think his best chance of winning games next year is still with K1. (They aren’t winning games with Brissett or a rookie). So for those who are in favor of keeping Gannon, really you should be rooting for K1 to return as well because the alternatives are bleak for JG.
Lot of truth here, but the franchise just needs change at this point…expectations surely can’t get lower.

Wilks got fired because that team was utterly non competitive.

Gannon could save his job if the fan base doesn’t completely turn on him. I said it at the beginning of the season and I still believe it: results of games decided by 7 point or less are random.

KC won like 12 games last year that were decided by a score. This season they can’t get a break and are like 1-6. Did Andy Reid forget how to coach?
All of the close losses is the marketing for why Bidwill runs it back with both Monti and Gannon, but making other changes.

I talked to Jess Root today and his feeling is they will make Petzing and Kyler the scapegoats and keep everything else in place. As he pointed out, Petzing is in the last year of his deal so that is nothing significant. They are going to try and pump up Brissett as the next Palmer.

He also called this season "the biggest clown show" he has ever seen covering the Cardinals.
Scapegoat is the wrong word.

The Cardinals will sell not re-signing Petzing to the OC role due to the stagnation of the offense despite continuity. It won't shock me if they hire him to a different role on the team. This is a valid reason to not re-sign Petzing, but would still allow Gannon to keep a guy he likes around the team for the final year.

Kyler is also an easy sell of doing what's best for both parties. We are choosing to go a different direction because we prefer cap space to what we have got from Kyler. Kyler deserves a fresh start somewhere else. All of that is also true.

Gannon, lame duck coach. Players who haven’t tuned out already will tune out. Unless JG gets secret extension

Not random. Random is Demarcado dropping the ball 1/10 second too soon.

Coaching is turtling up on Offense and Defense with a lead.

The Arizona Cardinals last beat a team with a winning record 410 days ago, on October 21, 2024. In that game, the Cardinals defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 17-15 on Monday Night Football. The Chargers had a 3-2 record at the time of the game, which is a winning record (above .500).

410 days. Only a total loser franchise would conceive of anything other than cleaning house.

Well, I'm of the thinking that JG and MO first brought a good attitude to this team when they were first hired. I thought that they might somehow turn the team into a winner, which was supposed to happen this year, but hasn't.

But, the wins have not come this season like everyone has thought it would. I thought JG would be a better game coach than what he has shown. But, from some of the play calling and post game interviews, he has not shown enough improvement.

The same with MO. I think he tried to out smart everyone by making certain draft decisions that would make us a better team. He let some good draft picks slip by us that maybe he should not have. I would give him an A for trying, but an F for the way things have worked out.

If they both stay, I would like to see them change the way they do things from here on out.

The three seasons don’t count because Kyler
I suppose there is some 3D level chess story that has Monti telling Mike that due to Kylers contract, the team is basically stuck with him until 2025 and that they would make the best of it until then.

if Kyler worked, great. If not, they move on.

It would explain why Monti has been careful with the cap space.

I also think that if that were the case, maybe you would have seen a QB get drafted last year --even if its like a Will Howard in the 6th

Maybe we need to set the forum to automatically open to page 2 since we have an entire page of pinned posts....
Or start a separate forum for stickies only...to be filled only with posts mods move there from other forums.
Got half a page of crap I don't want to read at the top of page 1
Skorp's last posts MUST BE LEFT UP

I believe that is why we saw Brissett brought in. It’s the first REAL competition Murray ever had.
