It’s being reported JG and Monti’s jobs are safe going into next season.

I get that MB needs to be patient, but there is a fine line between being patient and enabling bad coaches. When it’s year 3 and the team is showing serious signs of regression I don’t fully under the logic of not making changes.

I’m guessing MB feels handcuffed and doesn’t want to scare off future HCs by appearing to be impatient.
If you aren't going to fire both, the next best move is to bring both back.

Plan for a miracle or a new coach in 2027. Plan for a top Qb in 2027. New coach gets Paris, MHJ, Wilson, McBride, Nolen, GWill, Sweat, and Will J. Hopefully others surprise.

It's not great, but it is better than when Gannon was hired.

Wilson and GWill need to be extended for that to happen

I think if people considered this one basic fact it would give them perspective in their expectations for Bidwill. After the Big Red went to the Super bowl (I still cant believe I said that. It wasnt a dream?) they let FA Kurt Warner go talk to SF before he was resigned. What owner does that? Just another thought is when Warner was first signed his contract was full of performance incentives since he was supposed to be holding a clipboard. Warner won the job had a great year and achieved many of the performance clauses. His completion percentage goal missed by numbers to the right of the decimal point and Bidwill refused that bonus of I think only 50K. Kurt Warner is greatest QB ever for dragging two sad sack owners to the Super Bowl. I dont give much credit to Fizgerald after hearing Warner recently talk about how he had to motivate him to up his game. Fitz attitude was typical for a Bidwill franchise. He was better than other Big Red receivers so leave him alone.

Here is a last fact I heard last night for more perspective. The Big Red has a higher winning percentage while in St. Louis over their time in Chicago, Tempe or Glendale.

I'm with you. It doesn't make sense. The only thing I can think of is:

A) MB is too cheap to pay three head coaches at the same time (because Kliff and JG would still be on the books next year)
B) MB knows AZ won't be at the top of any great candidates list, especially if we fire another HC, and especially if you are walking into a job whether the qb position isn't settled.
Would our location among the top head coaching candidates list be any better after the 2026 season, presuming that JG ends up getting fired after that season?

I doubt that the quarterback position will be settled after next season as well. We may have a quarterback that we draft in the 2nd or 3rd round of next year's draft but that doesn't make me feel optimistic about the position.

Until the Big Red achieves a higher winning percentage in Glendale they will be the St. Louis Cardinals to me.

I think Monti is going to extend PJJ, Wilson and Williams. Williams might be the toughest deal to get done.
I’ll have to do a little study on how much additional cap space we can open up in 2026 if we can’t trade Kyler. Not enough for those three guys to get a lot of 2026 dollars without some additional trimming.

Brissette racked up most of those stats in two straight blow outs - so your point really is invalid to begin with

Titans - we would have won if Demarcado hadn't dropped the ball. No change in what Kyler did was needed.
Seahawks - yes, Kyler could have played better, but he still had the Cardinals in a position to go to OT if not for the Cardinals horrid ST and Rallis' D.
49ers' - Kyler had the Cardinals with a lead until 4 seconds left. 49er's got FG's with 20 seconds left in the half, and 4 seconds left in the game - all thanks to Rallis' pansy Defense
Kyler stans who defended Kyler's garbage time stat padding don't get to then try to destroy another QB for the same thing.

When you listen to a Gannon press conference or radio interview you say "man, this guy gets it" but literally nothing else matches that. idk what to make of him at this point. maybe he's the fakest guy around.
It is weird.

The reality is that JG's job is not safe. What happens in the next 7 games will determine his future. Bidwill is not a patient owner. If the Cards keep getting blown out JG will not last the season.
I don’t think people understand how pissed off owners get seeing their team steamrolled in front of 75% opposing fans. Thats exactly how coaches get fired, I don’t care what Johnny Venerables has to say about it.

If that were the case, we'd lose a coach at least once per season...

Shuffling through a never-ending parade of coaches has not been the solution in the past, so why continue? Take a stand, say, "This is our guy, at least through his contract, or once he has had a shot with HIS own QB." Would be nice to try and change the culture here. Rather than rinse and repeat every three or four seasons in perpetuity.
Because that’s an awful strategy.

You claim you’re not a Kyler Stan but then you pull out the “KDS.” Dude, it’s okay to just admit you’re a Kyler Stan.

The major problems are at GM, coaching, AND QB.

Cardinals have 19 sacks - among the lowest in the league. 9 from Sweat. 10 from everyone else.

This past Sunday when they panned to Gannon after each mini-disaster, his eyes looked so sad. I really felt sorry for him.
I get what you are saying

But it's his responsibility to get the team working on all cylinders

All these mistake, missed blocks, poor game plans all fall back on him

I don't care how he feels, he needs to figure it out

I'm highly disappointed in him after all he has preached to see the team regress
