Thoughts? I wonder how much this helps the Cardinals revenue?

I'll go further and say that place is going to be closed in 2 years. Not a lot of people are going to travel to the west side during the offseason to watch sports even less now with the coyotes gone

Doubt it helps much at all really. I'm sure they did enter into some sort of agreement though for an undisclosed amount.

Same. The gesture is mostly a building to let people know that you can now bet on sports.

If someone built a sportsbook in Old Town or off Mill Ave that would make a ton of sense. There are two next door to each other downtown and I will skeptical if both can survive.

I'm kind of excited to check it out. We are definitely going to migrate over to the great lawn prior to kickoff this weekend and check it out.
Anybody from here going to be tailgating at the lawn?

If they would have built it right next to the concession stands, that would work. That's how they do it in soccer stadiums in the UK. They have both pop up places and ones in the stadium.

Yep agreed. Putting it in the area you can't even park in is nonsense.

All good points. Interesting!

I haven't been there in a few years, is that were the kids fields are/were? Seems like a bad spot if so.

agreed. Everyone just bets on their phones---

However perhaps they expect to make so much here DURING the season that they can afford to have it sit somewhat vacant in the offseason

Terrible . To take away some of the Great Lawn from the loyal season ticket holders and real fans to put up some sports betting building really shows what is important to the Cardinals organization.

I think it's location is similar in nature to the Heritage @ Sportsman's Park structure. The majority is offset into the landscaping and parking but a small portion jogs into the lawn.
I don't recall much blow back about the Sportsman's Park structure being built. Is it just because this is gambling related.
