Well slap a big ol asterisk on this one.

Hopefully Booker is okay tomorrow.

whatever. We lost this game because we couldn’t close in regulation because Book misses a layup and CP3 has an awful turnover.

make all the excuses you want. We had a 4 point lead with 1:20 left and then choked like we have in almost every close game since we started 5-1.

no one on offense who can close and a bad defensive team.

Final:

Nuggets 130 - Suns 126

Suns had no answer for Barton. Suns can't let opponents drive inside at will.

Alarmist much? We aren’t a bad defensive team. Come on. Like any team we have lapses.

Paul was point god for 3 qtrs but was awful (other than a brief stretch) in the 4th and OT. We really need help from our bench which has taken major steps backwards with the switch from our starting lineup.

Ugh this hurts

How is it alarmist? Chap... go look at our defense stats since we were 5-1. We aren’t good and have been bad at crunch time consistently.

we have two players on the entire team that are actually good defenders in Ayton and Bridges. Literally no one else.

this just looks exactly last like season’s start.

The point god was awesome in the first half but then got a bug up his ass and had to try to win the game with questionable shots. And the REFS were ASS in this one.

The Suns forwards (Johnson, Crowder and Bridges) cannot consistently drive the ball to the rim to create an inside game so when they go cold from the outside the team is in trouble.

Also the Suns defense is not what it was in the bubble.

This is an average team. If not for the hot start we would be jockeying to make the playoffs.

Paul can’t dish 14 assists in first half and 1 in second and shoot 6/16.

cam was nowhere tonight.

Ayton had 2pts and 1 rebound in the fourth quarter. He can’t do much about the 2 points with the team not getting him the ball but he has to do more work down the stretch to help win the game if he’s not scoring.

the bench was a huge disappointment tonight though Nader looks better than I expected.

You gave him 3 quarters of point god-ness? He had 14 assists at the half and ended the game with 15.

It’s because he is a major liability defensively.

I feel like crowder is jacking up too many shots and not making many of them.

mikal didn’t get a single good look from 3 in the 2nd half either.

Something has to change and its not Ayton

Ayton needs to stay this aggressive. Dunking more and winning the rebounds. Only thing he needs to do more is push his defender down closer to the basket when he has the ball to get a layup or pass out to an open man when the double team.

cam can’t miss four wide open 3s.

but this game was lost because down the stretch of the fourth quarter, our “superstars” looked anything but. Again.

I mean, we almost lost to that WOEFUL Rockets team without even having John Wall. This is a really ugly stretch of basketball the last 8 games.

This really should have been a win. Bench did next to nothing.

Monty’s lineups at the end of the 3rd qtr, beginning of the 4th were odd. Team seemed so disjointed on offense de and disinterested in playing defense. Guys were feasting in the paint. Also, how predictable was the defense all game? Switch Jokic off of Ayton, draw mismatch, easy bucker underneath. Never adjusted.

Put him in when we have a 10 pt lead for 5 min see if he can extend it if he cant so be it but if he can its gravy.
