I have been putting off my purchase of a new processor until the market comes into my price range. Now I am hearing a Pentium V in November....is this true? What sort of speed can I expect from a Pentium V?

According to this - Pentium V will range from 3.4GHz to 5.0GHz....

I don't believe they'll call Prescott the P5. They shouldn't really, as it's just a souped up P4. Considering Intel did the same thing with P3 (was just a P2 with on-die L2 cache), it wouldn't surprise if they did, though.
