You are too loyal my friend. SF has played most of their games without their star players including:

-Starting Pro Bowl QB
-Pro Bowl & Defensive Player of the year DE
-Top WRs (Aiyuk & Pearsall)
-Pro Bowl TE
-Pro Bowl LB

They’ve been decimated and are 7-4…There are no excuses for this regime.

And when did “playing hard” mean anything? Every team plays hard as players are playing for their own future.
You can never be too loyal and the Niners have not had the shear number of injuries that the Cardinals have had. And I’m not sure why you’re comparing the Cardinals to a franchise like the Niners that are an established winning franchise. Earlier in his career, Shanahan had a couple of ugly seasons when his teams was decimated with injuries & you didn’t see the Niners losing faith in what he could accomplish. You will never develop a winning franchise if you keep firing your coaches every 3-4 years. If this team were healthy & losing, that’s one thing. They have been devastated by injury. More so than any team in the NFL. And it’s not even close. Have mistakes been made? Absolutely. But mistakes are made by great teams too. I believe our OL coach should be relieved of his duties because our OL performed significantly better the last 2 years with the same personnel. Gannon’s first year was a complete tear down and rebuild & that’s what Bidwill wanted. Year 2, we were better, we beat the teams we were supposed to, and lost to teams that had more talent than us. And this year has been totally devastated with injuries on both sides of the ball and special teams. Bidwill would be a fool to fire JG after this year. There’s too much that’s still unknown. After next year, anything and everything is on the line. But, this franchise cannot afford another start over.

I just don’t know how you move forward with this group.

After three years, there is literally NO FOUNDATION built anywhere.

We’ve got ONE good player on the Offensive line.

I don’t even know if you can say we’ve got one good player on the defensive line going into next season. Nolen is promising but that’s all right now and CC is still prob our best player and he’s retiring.

And we have no QB.

All of this in year 3 of a rebuild.

That’s freaking disastrous.

You're giving way too much credit to this coaching staff. Their decisions were resulting in losses long before the injuries piled up. JG isn't even competitive anymore.

I agree it's not ideal to fire coaches every 3-4 years, but they should have never fired BA. They could still be riding him/Todd Bowles to this day. With that said, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. They are not winning with JG, it's time to move on.

They need to take a chance on a OC or just simply steal from a competent coaching tree like McVay's or Shanahan's. Here's three names off the top of my head I would take a shot on right now:

1. Klint Kubiak (9ers OC)
2. Joe Brady (Bills OC)
3. Mike LaFleur (Rams OC)

Yeah, we're used to being bad but this year is truly wretched. We'll likely keep running JG out there week after week for the remainder of the season, but why? I'd prefer we clean house now, make a statement that this garbage is no longer acceptable. Sad how MB is now running this club a lot like his pops.

Oh yeah? We lost to the PATHETIC Panthers with the freaking playoffs on the line last year. We were supposed to lose to them?

And this year has been totally devastated with injuries on both sides of the ball and special teams.

This team was a ball of crap before the injuries. Or did you miss us BARELY beat a PATHETIC Saints team. Or did you see us LOSE TO AN ALL-TIME TERRIBLE TENNESEE TEAM?

your injury excuse so hilariously tired. The Bucs, Niners and even Ravens have all been DECIMATED by injuries and not only do all of them have at least two more wins than us, two are over .500 and none of them are flat out laughingstocks…. AGAIN.

And AGAIN, this team was bad 2-3 BEFORE the injuries took their toll and that was against the EASY part of the schedule.

Bidwill would be a fool to fire JG after this year.

You told people they were fools for calling for Keim’s head when it was blatantly obvious he had become a disaster.

There’s too much that’s still unknown.

You have to be blind to believe this. There are three things for every successful that are DEFINITELY KNOWN. They boil down to the trenches on both sides of the ball and do you have a QB. Let’s look at what we know there:

1. This O-Line SUCKS and is pretty much at peak health right now and has been for a month and they’ve still sucked, nothing sustainable here. They have ONE good player at LT and that is all.

So, we know there’s no foundation built for the O-line after three years.

2. This D-Line is mediocre at best and its best player is retiring Calais Campbell. And this unit is TOTALLY HEALTHY right now and save Nolen, mostly has been all year.

3. We know we have no QBOTF.

So, to sum up, we know after three years we have a bad O-line (that has been pretty healthy), a mediocre at best D-line (that has been somewhat healthy but is now very healthy and has gotten destroyed the last two games) and no QB.

That’s a DISASTER after three years

After next year, anything and everything is on the line. But, this franchise cannot afford another start over.

What this franchise actually can’t afford is to give the keys to Monti in a year that will determine the next FIVE years because we will be in position to draft a QBOTF and he has shown zero ability to identify crucial talent or put a great line together to protect a young QB.

I can’t believe you’re bringing up BA & Todd Bowles lol. Still riding with them haha. I hope you realize that BA is in his mid 70’s, and Bowles is in his 60’s now & a current HC in the NFL. Look, we all loved BA, and he’s from my hometown. My oldest son & I have bellied up to the bar and drank some bourbon with the man and his family. BA was appreciative of the opportunity here, but we didn’t fire him. When that window of opportunity slammed shut, he had ZERO intentions of rebuilding anything, let alone a football roster.

You say that the Cardinals should take a chance on an OC? What makes you think we haven’t gone down that path before? I’ve been following this franchise since the early 60’s, and we’ve had numerous OC’s or offensive minded HC’s. To be honest, they have fared better for the Cardinals than the DC’s we’ve hired. But, let me ask you this…..if we let Kyler go in another direction next year like so many on this board are clamoring for, how eager do you think the Klint Kubiak’s of the coaching world would be to come to AZ to coach a team with a 34 year old journeyman QB? Especially, when you have an owner that likes to fire his HC’s every 3 years? I would say that you can forget about the 3 OC’s that you mentioned. There are ALWAYS NFL HC gigs that the really good OC’s would rather have right now. If Bidwill were smart, and I’m fearful he isn’t, he would do his best to erase the reputation the Bidwill family has created. And the only way that happens is if he gives JG the time to turn this franchise around. Remember, it WAS Bidwill who wanted this roster gutted completely and rebuilt from scratch. And you cannot successfully do that when you lead the NFL with how many players you have on Injured Reserve.

Kyler’s 3 losses this year were by a combined total of 5 points.. 2 of those opponents we played over the past 2 weeks and lost by a combined total of 41 points.

Zay Jones makes a routine NFL catch we beat SF. ED makes a routine catch for a TD, we beat SF.

This regime sucks and Kyler is a terrible fit for it.. and may suck under a different regime - but it was a lot better than BBQ throwing 50 times in a game… unless you like garbage stats.
Yes, those Kyler close losses when the defense and offense were a lot healthier and SF was missing Jennings, Kittle and Purdy. We went to half time down 6-3 in that first SF game. The offense was lifeless.

Do you genuinely believe we would have had a better chance to win if Kyler was healthy and playing the last two weeks? If so, can you articulate why you believe this?

I went into this game thinking there was zero chance that Gannon would be fired to believing that there’s at least a small chance. It’s obvious that some players on the team, namely on defense, have quit. That’s when change has to be considered. Also, I hope Ralis wasn’t planning on being a HC next season because lol

Who was injured vs the CFL Tennessee Titans?
Exactly. This season spiraled before all the injuries started mounting. We looked like crap barely beating two terrible teams before going on an epic losing streak. And no part of the team looked at almost any point.

Lol… Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

This team looked pathetic before the injuries took their toll and now they just look like the good old laughingstock they’ve always been (but actually we’re already this season after the comical loss to Tennessee).

We have seen the Bucs and Niners have HELLACIOUS injuries all season and not only have they not gotten embarrassed like we have, they have both won 6 and 7 games. Should this team have won that many? No. But to be sitting here with 3 wins and now just looking like the old butt of every NFL joke again, completely undisciplined and now just getting our ish pushed in, with whatever happened with Kyler, we are just a total joke.

I'd have to do a film review to be sure (and I'm not going to), but my gut tells me the utter collapse on defense has to do with going from Mack Wilson to Cody Simon, especially considering where most of the holes were. ILB is the position most offenses attack by default, its an utterly brutal position for even 1st round rookies, let alone someone of Simon's pedigree.

With Mack going on IR either Cody grows up fast or we're all going to watch some of truly awful defense for the next month. I try to be rational about when failure is on coaches or injuries, but its really hard when the coaches arent established. Kyle Shanahan is allowed to go 4-12/6-10 when he gets hit with injury bug. Much harder to stomach that with a coach that hasn't made the playoffs. (Yeah yeah, year 3 no excuses, Shanahan went 6-11 in year 8!) I believe the core of this staff is really good, but even I will be ready for a reset if this keeps up for a month until Mack's return.

I think Kyzir White is on the Titans practice squad, maybe Monti should call him up?

This was the first game I felt like Gannon had lost the team. He seems defeated in himself. He doesn't seem like the same guy in pressers.

This team has a tonne of injuries to key players and it was always going to struggle to win, but the sloppy play, the mistakes and what seemed like a general lack of effort was concerning. Especially on the defensive side of the ball, which is a concerning for a defensive HC.

I don't think he's done, but it's concerning.

Because we didn't have any injuries to starters before opening day

Probably because when today started...a playoff berth was still possible...highly unlikely, but possible.
Now it's not.

Not sure what you saw, but I saw no quit in that team either this week or last week. When you lose as many players as we have, and you’re as young as we are, it’s easy to see teams quit. That hasn’t happened with the Cardinals. At least not yet.
Completely irrelevant.

During the game we learned that the Whiners have had worse injuries.
