Hes turned over the ball quite a bit trying to make those backdoor or pocket passes. Im not playing that guy for the occasional backdoor pass. Id rather see maluach develop earlier in the season if Richards is a no-go. Oso has the lowest ceiling of any player on this roster.

I don’t see that at all with Oso. If, and this is a BIG IF, he can develop any kind of shot, he can become a very dangerous weapon. He can handle the ball well enough for a big man, is a very good passing big man and is a ball finds energy guy. If he can become even just a 60-65% FT shooter, that would make a world of difference.

He has one of the best on/off court net ratings on the team this year and is comfortably the best in the last 10 games. The team is 17.5 points per 100 better on offense and 13.2 points better on defense when is on the floor in that stretch.

I mean come on dude, he has zero scoring ability. If there is a nba 1-10 offensive ability scale hes a 1. Any good passing or dribbling easily offset by that terrible push shots. Richards good for a couple good offensive rebounds and dunks per night. If we dont agree on richards then lets shove maluach in there and let him make some mistakes for 20 games, develop, and maybe effect the game later in the season

Fair but there was that anomoly game he had where he was like a +50 and had like 17 pts. Old addige - take out your best and worst and thats who you are. Suns bench also very good who hes on the floor with, very nuanced stat

In the last 8 games (excluding that +50 game) the team is a +15 net rating when Oso is on the floor.

I don't get the Oso hate. He's not a stat guy, he's a glue guy. He does so many things correctly. High BB IQ. His biggest weakness is his inability to score outside the paint.
Same. And he’s only in his second year. I believe one of Otto’s responsibilities as an AC for Cleveland was developing their big men. Willing to give him time and trust his judgment here giving Oso run, accordingly.

oso instinctively knows when to switch - when to come out and set a screen if the offense is stalling - he knows when to peel and off and represent help without actually helping - detouring drives and passes - he has two 0s in his name and a lot of Os on the stat sheet but he can play both pf and center - he's a freakin gazelle running around wearing down opponents

Another excellent win! Getting pretty exasperated with all the injuries, though. When will we finally get to see this team at full strength?
