Our second unit, which has been pretty good this year, will be even better when Green and Allen get back. Ott plays more guys, so they should all still get time.
There is enough depth for them all to go all out on D all the time. Freely sub to give guys breathers.

We need to trade Grayson - he's the oldest and has the biggest contract for a forward
Trade him for a forward? Is that what you meant? I am not sure why. Who will this new forward replace? Brooks, Dunn, Royce, Fleming, Oso?

I just don’t see any move to make right now except trade Richards for cap space and a couple second round picks.

"It comes down to just making the choice. It’s making the choice There are shortcuts you can take or you can do the hard thing and you can make the second effort or you can sprint back or you can’t. It’s just a choice. And there’s a million choices in a game, and you’re very likely not going to make every choice correctly. But can you make the vast majority of them correctly? It gives you a chance to win.”

I like it best when they're in that mood. Really high intensity on defence and fast breaks with finishes at the rim.

We don't need more rotation players if we're gonna trade it should be for a starter level player. I guess that means Royce and/or Allen is out. Not sure if we have the pieces. Rolls Royce has been great from three. Could it get us up to the next level, past the Fakers, Ants, Nuggys, and Rockettes? Just dreaming.

im not sure we need star level players on a jordan ott team with 5 or 6 players in double figures most nights - we need reliable role/rotation players who've completely bought in

we already have those guys plus we have fleming and maluach lying in wait - and ott's system will be the only nba system they've ever known - once they get going richards is a memory

it's not about finding stars in phx it's about fit - and everybody on this roster complimenting eachother by being where they're supposed to be - devin was dropping 30 points a game early in the season until he didn't have to - now he does whatever he has to

i freakin love this team so my pov might be screwed but seriously - i wouldn't mess with anything - we could just keep getting better

Right. We don’t need more rotation players. And you don’t get a star player by trading multiple rotation players. The best possible might be to trade for a young player who has the potential to become a star player. I just don’t see it. We have Book, Brooks, and Green. That’s potentially a star trio. Williams is not far behind. What we need is rotation players to go with those three, but we already have them.

Maybe we trade a star player for a younger star player. Book for somebody, but I am not ready to do that.

We beat teams with bad D, using our well-run role players, but get beat against best D teams like OKC where our role players would be shut out of the game flow, and we won't see nice plays like in this Lakers game from RO, Gillespie, Oso so easily.
As to trade, I'd do a GA for bigger PF move in addition to shipping out Richards, for optimal use of salary cap.

I'm surprised, I really thought we'd had a fairly easy schedule although some of that was teams missing key players. But looking at our upcoming schedule now, I'd say this 37 day stretch following Christmas will go a long way to determining whether we are in the playoff race or not. We play 8 home games and 12 road games during those 37 days - that's kind of insane IMO. We're definitely going to need our guards to get healthy.

I think we play like 16 of 19 at home after that stretch. Bizarre scheduling.

I would hope we could get someone who would play better than both Royce and Dunn - because neither are cutting it IMO.

I was hoping/expecting more from Dunn. Hope he turns it up a bit. More offensive output.

I am very happy with both of them this year.
I am not at all happy with Dunn. He has regressed if anything, and this team can't afford to have it's few young players not develop.

Royce is actually playing well for Royce - but he just isn't a starter, and we need a starter.

We are getting outrebounded constantly, we need someone who can help with that. I actually think Dunn can rebound well - but he is a liability offensively - so much so that we play better with 3 guard lineups.

For like the 4th year in a row we got a lot of stories about Luka getting in great shape in the off season, only for him to chub out as the season progresses.

He must love American food, or he is drinking a lot of beer.

As much as I love to dunk on the guy, that's an image from last year, evident by the 44 Jerry West patch.

k, he's not THAT doughy, but he's certainly in no where near the shape he was in during the off season.
