We've officially hit our lowest point of the season. All Star Break is blessing in disguise.

The Suns should have been playing their rookies all night and sitting their starters since they mailed it in.

our rookies are going to be fun next year - which will be here before we know it - this game was was it was - missing all 3 of our top scorers so i watched coffey and fleming and then everybody - coffey might be truly serviceable still hard to tell but the rookies!

they kinda stole the show for me

There was never a path to win this without the three guys, but I am enjoying seeing the rookies get some serious playing time.
After seeing our starters get destroyed, I kind of wish we had just played our rookies all game long.

Am I the only person who suspects that many players, esp. Booker, are more battered than the team reports, and that it has much do to with the recent losses? That's why I'm irritated at his having to be on the all-star team. He probably needs evry possible moment of rest. The opposing coaches took some of it away from him, by forcing him to show up for a meaningles exhibition game that players sleepwalk through and increasingly few fans care about,
Players can take themselves out of the All-Star game is they are injured. Looks like the Suns or Booker decided to do that for the home fans, guaranteeing a loss in a tight playoff race for the good of an exhibition no one gives AF about.

I think they need a break, for sure, but I don't think it's all that serious. This training staff seems to hold people out more than most others. Look how many games guys like Jalen, Book, Grayson, and others miss for seemingly minor issues. The All-Star festivities aren't serious anymore. It's televised practice. I would imagine Book takes as many jumpers on an off day as he will on All-star Saturday. The game on Sunday is a scrimmage of sorts.

If OKC comes to play every night, so should the Suns.

That's the difference between a championship team and a pretender.

I love this years Suns but we're ahead of the curve and need to use this year as a jumping off point. OKC is a great example of a team that didn't play hard every night until they did and then they got a banner for doing so. It seems Ott recognizes that and while I can see wanting to tear into our guys, the talent level isn't there for them to be a legit contender yet so using these games as learning experiences and also for the front office to see what we need should help us long term.

All I ask is the Suns to play hard every night. I'm not expecting a championship but that should always be their aspiration.

With any luck, that one game we'll have Jalen, Book AND Grayson back in the lineup.

Hopefully. The Suns need all three back. The first game after the All-Star game is at the Spurs on February 19th.

I get that. I'll excuse the lapses this year though provided they demonstrate they learn from them.

The Suns have lost four out of their last six games. No excuse for that, especially when five of the games were at home.

I agree but there is a difference here. OKC plays their last game before the break tonight on a back-to-back. Suns were completing a back-to-back before the break. OKC probably will but let's see if they play with the same intensity.

They were also hitting a very high percentage of shots last night against us early. I do like that coach Ott recognized that the Suns defense hasn't been as good the last couple weeks. Let's hope it's back to peak form after the break.

If it were one game, I wouldn't say a word.

As I mentioned, the Suns have lost four out of their last six games and five of the games were at home. I'd say there is a pattern forming.

Hopefully they break the cycle after the All-Star break but it's not something a team can turn on and off like a water faucet.

It would be par for the course for another Arizona team to have a letdown the rest of the season...
