Devin Booker is the greatest player EVER in Suns history

Well. Booker might be having the best Suns career of any other player that was a Sun, but he is certainly not the best player to ever wear a Suns uniform. Put it this way. Just ask a simple question to any NBA fan. "Who was a better player _____________________ or Devin Booker?"

I might argue that as a player, Tom Chambers was better.

He hasn’t had a better career than Nash. Even if you take away the awards Nash was a more valuable player. Book has been a great scorer throughout his career and was a star when he had a great PG. Based on longevity I would put him over Barkley even though Chuck peaked higher.

Shaq was better as a Sun than Book? I don't see it, at all. Shaq was here like 2 years and was an All-star based on reputation more than his play.

Good grief. If you include guys who briefly played here, you could add Grant Hill, Danny Manning, Jason Kidd, etc. Robert Horry, Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal.....

I thought so but wasn't sure why you'd add that caveat to the discussion. No one here would argue Booker is a GOAT level player and opening up the debate to guys who were only here briefly to discuss what they did elsewhere shouldn't impact their chances of making the Ring of Honor or being honored in other ways by the team.

It's best to set criteria, if we are going to compare. Best NBA player and best Suns player can be two different things.

He’ll be the best Suns player that spent the majority of their career here. Obviously no one is arguing he’s better than KD, Shaq and some other that had brief stops here. Let be honest no one considers those guys Suns and highly doubtful any of them enter the HOF as a Sun as most of their success happened in other organizations. Book can easily end up the best Sun of all time especially if he never plays anywhere else!

Any consideration of "Best Suns player" that gives any weight to what guys did on other teams is nonsense.

Shaq isn't in the conversation, he's 12 miles outside of it, Vince Carter is a side note and Durant is at the bottom of the ocean.

Nash is the best. Barkley, KJ, Booker... those are the other guys up there for me, but I don't think anyone approaching Nash's impact for a long long time.

Marion is most underrated. Not just as a Sun, but one of the all time underrated guys in the league.

It's a hard call, and except for Nash, it could easily be reshuffled a bit.

Looking at my Suns top ten list, the returns on trading away those players were generally disappointing.

This is one of the reasons I'm not keen on trading Devin Booker along with the loyalty factor.

Davis and Adams are a bit overrated, Durant is probably the most ruinous player, shouldn't be in our top 500, unquestionably the worst transaction in franchise history, I liked Cliff but he didn't do much as a Sun (also, while a lot of these picture are bad, that Cliff Robinson one is probably the worst).

I will give it credit for putting Marion above Amare. No knock on Amare, but Marion was a phenomenal player, absolutely should be in the hall of fame.

These type trades have seldom improved the Suns franchise. The Larry Nance trade is about the only one that comes to mind.
