I don’t know if they can pull this off but this team simply doesn’t give a damn who they are playing.
Remember the prognostications at the beginning of this thread giving us a 0% chance to win this one?

Gillespie is getting some respect put on his name by a couple of legit players in DeMarcus Cousins and Lou Williams. This was a fun watch. Far cry from the cold pickle nacho days.

I did not expect this to be a win, but also I thought we'd be without Villan Brooks, so I think that is fair. Who cares what I think. Wolves, you just lost to the Phoenix Suns. (Tune the "sunny" melody with Book in sunglasses)

He could have seriously hurt Williams

He's a punk
Yep, Gobert is a punk. That is a fact.

DTV has a reputation but I don't think I've seen any dirty moves by him. He's an agitator but he doesn't step under jump shooters, hit people in the nuts, throw elbows or roll into people's legs. In fact I'm quite fond of him.

if we keep playing tough and keep winning the respect will come - or at least the refs will start putting money on us

As much as I hate the comparison, Brooks is more Draymond Green than Pat Bev.

Kind of interesting how Collin called out Jalen as the leader of the team and then mentioning vets like Book, Dillon, Royce, and Grayson. That was surprising.
Yes, but that's bad. It's at least the second time in recent memory that a teammate has singled out someone other than Devin Booker as a notable leader.

I don't see that as a negative. Booker isn't a vocal leader. He is more of a leader by example, if anything, and since he's been off they've needed someone to be that high energy talker. Hearing that Green has stepped into that role here makes the KD trade better. There were concerns about Green being more of a selfish chucker but if that were the case then I doubt that he'd be credited as a leader, especially with him on the bench hurt.

Coach must think Fleming is not ready to contribute. If he's not, he's not. If he were, desperation for another forward might propel coach to send him out.

Are you watching the games? There really aren't many desperate moments. Fleming is building confidence in the G-League.

Brooks is working surprisingly well as PF. He's not Barkley, not as good, a bit taller, maybe not that big of a behind, but he's been really good. We're better on the boards and on the inside "than usual" with the current roster. Sure, PF is one of the top weak points, but I don't see us being desperate to get someone in to play big minutes at PF.

Yeah, we're not desperate but it sure would be nice to have some power and length there. With Barkley, you never questioned if he was a power forward or not. He had the girth and just looked the part. Rooted out guys down low. Dillon looks more like a wing/guard out there.

I don't see many players who play like a pf anymore. That position seems to have gone the way of the Do do bird. You have Bigs, wings, and guards. Rarely are there two players on the court playing like a big. PF's roam the three point line these days.

What's a little funny is that they thought it was the center spot that was gone but it is actually PF's who are no longer.
