Grizzlies @ Suns Monday game thread 3-15-2021

On Monday the Suns play the Grizzlies in the second game of their five game home stand.

Grizzlies are 17-18 and have lost their last two games.

They fell to the Thunder today 128-122. In their last ten games they are 4-6.

Suns drop to 25-12 after losing to the Pacers last night ending their five game winning streak.

The game will be televised on FSAZ.

Start time is listed at 7 p.m. Arizona time.

In a bit of good news the Jazz fall to the Warriors 131-119.

Suns remain in second place in the Western Conference.

Timberwolves beat the Trail Blazers. Pelicans beat the Clippers. 76ers beat Spurs. Thunder beat Grizzlies and Warriors beat Jazz.

He wasn't playing all that well before. With him likely now having COVID, I wouldn't expect him to contribute much of anything for at least the next month.

It took Saric longer to recover while on health and safety protocols.

The recovery time will vary by player. It takes some players longer to get their strength back. I'm hoping Cam Johnson gets back to speed more quickly. I guess we will find out by how soon he returns to play.

Especially since his play was not all that great before, best not to chance it. James Jones absolutely needs to find a way to acquire a rotation power forward or center ASAP.

I keep watching the waiver wire to see who the Suns might be able to add. I prefer a power forward but I could live with a center. Without a first round pick to trade, the Suns can't be picky. It's too bad Jalen Smith isn't an immediate contributor.
