I really hope the Raiders are stupid enough to think there would be any success with Kyler to Bowers when Kyler couldn't even take advantage of having McBride the past few years.

Is the team that acquired Howell paying him $80 million over the next two years? Because that's about what the team that acquires Murray will be doing.

It's not that I think Kyler has no value relative to a late round draft pick. It's that I don't think any team will think enough of him to pay him $80M over the next two years to find out if they can build a contender around him after we give up on doing that.

The opportunity to trade him has passed. They should have done that at the trade deadline.

Now they are up against it with his contract. Total idiots.

They can still trade him in the offseason I assume the market will be better then as teams have a clearer vision of what they need for the year, a better read on the draft prospects, Murray is healthy and would get a full offseason before being put on the field.

If he gets cut he will get a fat check...sure...
But it won't make up for nobody in the league willing to pay him more than 10mil a year...
Guarantee there is more money left on that deal than he will ever see if he has to get a fresh contract

I voted 6th. Just because I feel someone might want to secure him without having to compete with other teams for top free agent QB money.

Despite the albatross of a contract he's under, it might end up costing more or for years for a buying team in free agency.

I think Murray will be viewed as a rehab gamble -- hoping for the Darnold or Daniel Jones

if a team trades for him and the Cards buy down most of the 2026 salary, then they get an upside project for a cheap 2026 salary and a manageable 2027 guarantee.

Yup. Rapoport says Kyler’s contract has offset language meaning he can’t double-dip. He won’t get more than he’s getting from the Cards in 2026; he’ll likely get more in 2027 than what the Cards can guarantee.

It’s not. It’s in Kyler’s best interest to go to a team with a great QB coach/system and have like 80 good passing attempts as a backup and go into free agency in 2027 as a “fixed” veteran.

Murray’s ego will push him to a team he believes has the offensive weapons and the Oline he needs. He’s isn’t as worried about the defense and winning.
