The Minnesota Vikings are turning the page and starting a new chapter in their long battle with the quarterback position. There is nothing they would love more than for former top pick J.J. McCarthy to be able to prove himself and be the guy for them. Sadly, it does not seem that the Vikings will catch a break in that department.
So, as all NFL teams do, they created a contingency plan in the form of former top overall pick Kyler Murray. While Vikings fans remain optimistic, they have not seen what he could look like on the field.
However, we do finally have our first look at Murray in purple.
Murray comes to the Vikings with a record of 38-48-1 in seven years with the Arizona Cardinals. He also racked up 20,460 passing yards and 153 total touchdowns between the air and the ground. Kevin O'Connell and Wes Phillips will hope their collective work can strike gold once again in a similar fashion that they did with Sam Darnold.
