Has anyone talked about how, on Brissett's one errant throw, Wilson was knocked off his route when making his break, 8 yards down the field. The ball was thrown exactly where Wilson would have been had he not been interfered with. It wasn't a bad thrown, it was a penalty. Or do I not understand the rules? That's certainly possible.

I had thought it was zay jones? I don’t remember seeing a clean replay of it either, announcers said it was inadvertent contact but live it looked like he was knocked off his route.

Whoops. Yes it was Zay Jones. They didn't go back and replay it on the live broadcast, so I went and found the highlight on the Colts site. It was clearly NOT inadvertent. I

petzing and kyler is the worst match up ever

clear as day - petzing's offense made brissett look like more than serviceable quarterback - 1 sack to 320 yards - gtfoh - although i would like to know how many times jacoby got hit tho (not just pressured)

kyler is screwed - he cussed out the guy who wanted to unleash him upon the nfl and ultimately got him ish canned - then walks in gannon who wasn't haven't none of that - gotta put some controls on that quarterback lol

now murray (who could very well be a much better qb under another oc) lives his nightmare - to do what he's been told even if he doesn't like it

you can tell murray to stay in the pocket same way you can tell my claustrophobic aunt to stay in the closet - she'll try but she aint lasting long

murray's not changing - petzing's not changing - people don't change - so we have to choose

Absolutely not… what I do believe is nearly any mediocre QB that throws the ball 44 times in 1 game with the opposing defense #1 and #2 CBs out will likely eclipse the 300 yard mark. Thats not homerism, that’s a strong likelihood
See below. Also, you get more attempts when you manage to stay on the field longer.

What offense is Kyler a match for?

What offense work for a QB that has poor vision, won't stay in the pocket and doesn't want to get hit?

It’s too late then. You need the guy in your building and working with people.

Some team is going to have to move cap around to accommodate his deal.
I am confused. I am asking in mid March that if a team is drafting 8 and the Cardinals are drafting 13, do you think Murray has enough value to get that team to trade from 8 down to 13 in round 1 vs taking the 1nd or 3rd QB in an underwhelming draft class.

Kyler scrambles get converted into pass attempts by a more traditional QB
That doesn’t even come close to the variance. It’s funny how quickly the hate crew will like a post bc it fits the narrative. Kyler embarrassingly enough as he should be running more, max attempts in a game is 7 this year. 4-7 rushes a game is what you get. Jacoby had 3 this last game. 1-4 rushes doesn’t equate to 9+ or 13+ pass attempts.

For the record, I am ready to move on from Kyler at this point (as well as this coaching staff)…. But people acting like Kyler lost the Tenn game and acting like JB balled out is false. He was mediocre w a sheiiit ton of passing attempts and with several factors assisting him as well that I’ve outlined before. I’ll take that mediocre performance from a backup alllll day long, but it has absolute zero bearing as to why to move on from Kyler.

I don’t think that’s how it works. Teams —and especially execs—aren’t scouting QB prospects until well into the league year.

I don’t know what the trade value chart says the cost of moving down 5 spots there is, but I’m guessing it’s pretty close to a late first/early second. Maybe more.

Kyler isn’t worth that.

Therein lies the rub. Air raid was his best option, but once teams started playing deep cover 2, he couldn't hit the necessary intermediate routes. Can't even play RPO with him, because he's terrified of contact. You have to imagine he was watching that game yesterday and realizing that he is the main issue with the offense.

Second round pick according to the chart.

Yes, it was Zay. It looked like he had stopped his route when watching it live.
Also, how about the last play?? Was McBride held? It sure looked like it form where i was sitting but I was a ways away on that pass.
BTW, McBride was bitching to refs ALL game about being held.

It's going to be interesting when Kyler does his midweek press conference and the questions he's going to get asked.

Would not surprise me if he skips it this week.

I assume he's not playing next week so why would he have a mid week press conference? I assume Brissett is the starter next week and he will have the presser

I don't understand it. Look at the 49ers game last year. We lead 24-23, they have the ball going down to kick a FG to win the game. Rallis calls a kitchen sink blitz and Jalen Thompson blows through, hits Purdy, ball floats in the air and White catches it, we win.

Have you seen a safety blitz even once this year much less with the game on the line?

Against the Titans we play the exact same coverage every play of the last two drives the Titans have. Rush four. Can you make it any easier on a rookie.

Then, today, on 2nd and 8, hoping to hold them to a FG to tie at 27, we finally blitz and get in Jones face and play man. He throws a terrible pass. Next play? Right back to rush four, zone coverage, Jones has no pressure and very easy read and completion by mismatching Downs vs our ILB. Have some damn balls. Bring the effing house and if they score a TD on that play at least you have more time on the clock.
THIS 1000%!!! GREAT POST!

Today showed that Kyler is, indeed, a major problem with this franchise. When your QB can't function properly in his role (and his backup can), you're not winning anything. When's the last time Kyler threw for 300 yards in any circumstance? A long time. Everyone thinks the offensive play calls and the receivers are the problem...well, not for the backup. Proof positive today that Kyler is not and never will be the answer at QB. Final nail in his coffin and good riddance. Now let's sent everyone else from Monti to Petzing out the door after him.
Wilson’s post game interview was damning!
