I just want them to be a winning franchise again, regardless of who the QB is. And I do want JB to get another start to see if he can keep it up. If he plays well again that kind of pressure is good for K1. My real take is QB isn't the issue on this team, its coaching. Only 6 teams scored more than 27 points on Sunday...That should have been enough for a win, but not for this coaching staff.
I give them equal credit for the failure. Monti, for criminal neglect of the IOL and WR positions. Kyler, for being subpar at the position and grossly holding the offense back. Petzing, for bad play calling even though he is handicapped at the QB position and with personnel/injuries.

The system changed on Sunday due to the fact that Brissett can play under center and do play action from it. Kyler wont, cant or isn't good enough to run it.

If I had just one small quibble about the playcalling, I think they ran too many play actions. It seemed like almost every time he was under center and dropped back, he added the fake. It didn't seem to make the defense bite. Maybe if they cut back on it, they would have more effect. Plus that has to be a distraction to the QB to take a half second every drop back on the fake, then turn around and face the field.

According to Pro Football Focus, Brissett went 12-for-18 on play-action passes with a touchdown and an interception. This season, Murray has attempted 34 passes in play-action, just under seven per game. Murray is completing 70.6% of his play-action throws for 743 yards and a touchdown (no interceptions).

Another change in scheme, the Cardinals went under center nearly 50% of the time, compared to 21.7%, according to Underdog’s Josh Norris.

When pressured, Brissett completed 5 of 19 throws for 90 yards, getting sacked twice, according to PFF. When kept clean, Brissett was 22-for-25 (88%) with 230 yards.

Murray has completed 50% of his throws while facing pressure this year for 219 yards and 16 sacks. He completes 74% of his passes when kept clean.

Gannon, for making Petzing call conservative plays with the lead, causing the Cardinals to lose leads in games
Demarcado, for being an idiot that would have sealed the game against Tennessee
Rallis/Gannon for failing to blitz young QBs, and having a defense that keeps giving up fourth quarter leads.

You have to ask yourself (speaking in general), what is KM even good at anymore? Throwing an accurate 3 yard pass on 3rd and 5? Running out of the (clean) pocket and picking up 4 yards on 3rd and 8? His 'wow' plays are almost non-existent now. I just don't see how he can succeed, in any offense, without a complete overhaul of his mental makeup.

When blitzed during the Arizona Cardinals' October 12, 2025, game against the Indianapolis Colts, quarterback Jacoby Brissett struggled, completing just 6 of 20 passes for 91 yards with two sacks
. He was significantly more effective when not under pressure, leading to a polarizing performance in a 31–27 loss.
In 2024 the NFL completion percentage when blitzed was 26%. Look before you leap!

My favorite things were.
Standing tall in the pocket
Delivering the ball on time
Getting several receivers the ball
Finding receivers down field

And I can't state this enough

It not Kyler back there running scared

If you were being generous you might say BBQ elevated the players around him a little. For brief moments on Sunday on offense it looked like the whole was greater than the sum of its parts.

But only for brief moments.

Man BHCF I can tell you are so over Murray. I mean, I think you are just absolutely sick of watching him play.

And of course you're in the majority at this point.

But you don't just rip into the kid like some of the other guys. You're pretty frugal with your criticism (which I appreciate), even though I can tell you're just super frustrated with our QB1.

Would you start Brissett the rest of the season, even if Murray was healthy?

KM is starter #1 and will be the rest of the season

If JB has another good game today it won't matter

It's up to KM to finish strong, which is not looking promising

My stand all along has been to support KM, but he has shown so many weaknesses that could be improved and it doesn't show

When the QB for my favorite team won't do everything he can to be the best he can be then it's time to move on
