Would like to see all the details as it sounds like the Chargers would go to 11 and get 27. We get 5 & 23. Think Minnesota would have to pay more. Maybe Jefferson is going to LA? If that is the case then I think the Cards should get a 2nd as well this year. MHJ @ 5 then BPA at 23, 2 2nds and 3 3rds help you get alot of talent fast.

If verified and true. I assume that this is the Vikings opening idea and their opening offer..

If you look at the draft value chart, The Chargers get a bit extra in terms of points for the move, but Cardinals are not.

Cards give up 2480 and gain 2460 = -20
Vikings give up 2010 and gain 1800 = -210
Chargers give up 1700 and gain 1930 = +230

There should be more suitors for #4 and I would ask more. And then the Franchise QB tax on top. I would ask for 2025 1st and settle for 2025 2nd or swapping our 2025 2nd for their 2025 1st

As the deal currently stands, hate it.
You gift MIN their QBOF to move up 4 spots at the end of the first? (without knowing who will be available at #23 or #27)

This only works in a world where MHJ is the only option at WR and #4 isn't going to be 'the last QB'.

You could stick and pick at #4 and be in no worse of a situation. You could trade with the Giants and pick up a 1st/2nd/more. MIN's season is F'd if they don't make this deal work......we hold the freaking pick.

Eh screw the value chart. If you still get MHJ, then losing the value of 4 is only math, it's not real.

But the gain from 27 to 23 is real.

They don't actually need more.

I would think everyone hyperventilating over the thought of not drafting MHJ would love this. We still get him, and we move up 4 spots with our second pick.

How good this deal is completely depends on how much you think of Harrison.

At dinner last night and ESPN was on one TV. I look up and it said “Cardinals trade Kyler Murray to Vikings for 11 & 23” and I yelled “what!”… guess is was an ESPN prediction…

The problem is Minny is the one proposing these trades, but they dont have much to give unless they are trading players.

id either ask for Minnys 3rd next year....or I would throw them #90 and ask for Addison.

Here is my counter. Instead of coughing up #27 we give the Vikings/Chargers our second round pick #35 overall AND we also receive a 2025 day 3 pick from Minnesota.

for moving back one spot from #4 to #5, the Cards move up three spots from #27 to #23

the "value" per the trade value chart works -- about 100 points of diff for both moves, or the equiv of a higher 4th round pick

Chargers are the real winners here -- giving up 1700 points and getting 1930 back.

A potential franchise quarterback is far more valuable.

The only upside for the Cardinals versus just staying at number four is they get to move up four spots at the end of the first round

Meanwhile Minnesota gets their quarterback of the future

Which is why this trade is not the best for the Cardinals.

The Cardinals should be the ones that get the most value

Do they though?

They are just moving back one spot, still getting the player they want and gaining 4 spots in the 20's. Why would you turn it down? It's already no risk and all reward.

It's like ordering lunch and being offered a free apple pie to move one spot over at the counter so a couple can sit together.
