So at what juncture does Vogel getting fired become a serious thing? Underperforming first year coaches almost always make it through at least one season, if not a minimum of two. But will that be the case with a team like these Suns where expectations are so high and the team as constructed has such a short make or break window?

At some point, Ishbia will have to concede to the fact that even if Vogel isn't to blame for the roster shortfalls and the injury issues, he also isn't doing anything that resembles a good job of coaching. If we have any hopes of being a contender with this team, we need to cut bait on the bad coaching and at least try someone else before things get permanently out of hand.

Terry Porter lasted 51 games before Sarver pulled the trigger on him in year 1 after DA got fired. This situation has very similar vibes.

All that gives me hope is Terry Porter was sacked in year 1. When it's this bad, you need to make a move and we don't have trade assets. Vogel isn't the coach for this squad and I don't think Kevin Young is either but they made a big deal of him being the top paid assistant in the league so he's sure to step in. I said it in the other thread, lets hope he's Alvin Gentry 2.0.

Not sure if he was worse as an executive or worse as a coach... probably executive, but it is a tough call.
