Referees just make calls on what they see... not guess or go by reputation. If not, look at video replay.

The overhead video on Brooks technical, where he was pulled down by the Nets rookie, shows everything clearly.

That is 100% incorrect. Refs do call based on reputation and who the player is.

And they miss so many calls that happen two feet infront of them.

Yeah, no need for referees to guess, not in the days of video.

Also, a player should be allowed to defend himself if another player initiates it. And he shouldn't be penalized for doing so. There is such a thing as self defense.

Last night had the worst example of this imaginable. The ball obviously was hit out of bounds by a Nets player on the sideline and everybody and their grandmother saw it in realtime. Only for the ref to give the ball to the Nets. A very frustrated Ott has to ask for a review. No excuse for that one.

I appreciate how Ott doesn't blame refs or officiating. It's no excuse and he doesn't allow it to be one. Dillon and Book both sort of get caught up appealing their cases in game to refs but almost everyone else plays locked in and moving forward. I can't blame either guy much for getting caught up but Dillon will hopefully tone it down some since he's on the verge of a suspension for T's now. Book and Green being ahead of him offensively in rhe pecking order should scale it back some. Got to get healthy.
