I'd be satisfied to bring back Ty Ty Washington Jr. and Collin Gillespie as point guard depth, but the Suns need a starter.

I wonder if Miami including Ware would be enough to get it done.

If Ware is traded with solid depth, he might be a difference maker.

What I'm reading is the Nets might take on salary. Also, Ott is familiar with Nic Claxton.

I think they could be a late seed team. Higher than that it’s doubtful. Making a run is even more doubtful but defense matters IMO.
They’d only have two defenders. And Gobert is only getting older and isn’t the dominant force he used to be.

I think he could be late to the party, honestly. I did some searching because I remember talk of JJJ being used as potential bait in a deal to upgrade around Ja and when the season ended it was rumored briefly but didn't have any lasting legs.

Still digging through Twitter to see where I saw something about JJJ that caused me to say this months back....
Wait… you thought we could possibly get JJJ AND Clarke AND… that we would also get a pick back from Memphis and Memphis would give back our pick swap we owe them? Am I reading that right?

You thought KD would improve our championship chances and was worth 7+ years of tradeable picks, Mikal, Cam, and Crowder?

We all have worn purple and orange glasses when discussing deals. I didn't say it would happen or push it. I expanded upon a potential deal I originally saw on Twitter about JJJ being used as trade bait after his disappointing season in Memphis. They are the team that dumped their head coach out of nowhere before the season ended. I could see them being robbed in a trade for JJJ. Excuse me for thinking the Suns could be the team doing the robbing. Guess that goes to show how much the Suns overpaid for KD though considering we can't get back an All-Star, a bench player, and swap rights.

So - i hesitate to even say this because I know how much so many of you hate him - flex just said our target in a 3 way deal is jaren Jackson.

That seems impossible to me, because I just think that’s too good to be true, but if it is I would be very happy if they can pull that off.

I would lose my crap.

I'm not a fan of Gobert overall, but I think he has rapidly swung from overrated to underrated.

Like, if he is on your team, you're going to have a good defense, especially on the interior, you're going to protect the rim and you're probably going to be good on the glass. He's the same guy he always has been. Top tier teams exploit him though... he is not a good stretch defender and he is totally useless on offense outside of the paint.

He's also kind of a douche from what I can tell.

If we could somehow squeeze pick swaps or a unprotected future first from Minnesota... I think this might be one of our best case scenarios. I don't see a team built around Randle, Durant and ANT doing much of anything besides getting coaches fired and rapidly hating each other. 3 cancers who think they are the king of the world seems like a recipe for disaster.

Also, it seems you need to be reminded, this is all under the presumption that there is no chance that we are trading Booker in the near future, which is obvious at this point.

At this point you think ishiba is better than Sarver? I am not seeing it, in fact he might be worse due to holes he is willing to dig us into with his bad decisions.
He is better than Robert Sarver, yes, for the simple reason that he has always tried to win since he's been here. I'm sorry his ideas for it were bad, but he hasn't spent any time deliberately building mediocre teams to save money.

The Suns need to operate in their best interest. If KD doesn't report then he sacrifices $55 million and a potential extension. He is at the tail end of his career and losing his bird rights by failing to report would be incredibly dumb. Even if he doesn't want to go where he's traded, like Toronto, then he needs to play the role of good soldier and seek out long term money either by asking for them to move him or playing out the year and facilitating a sign and trade elsewhere. No team will clear cap space to sign him to a big money but some team will offer bad contracts and picks to get him through a sign and trade.

The Suns are capable of controlling the situation but whether they do is another story.
The thing about sacrificing $55 million is that I do not know exactly what Kevin Durant values most: money or his playing situation. He already has lots of money. Does he prioritize making more? If it's dumb, well, lots of players are dumb.

And a superstar has more than one way to interfere with a trade. He can give warnings that he would report but refuse to cooperate. He can let the receiving team know it would be forced to trade him. Perhaps a Twitter rant. The team might or might not want to deal with the headache a disgruntled superstar would present. Durant is a questionable enough teammate without being mad.

4 F'ng first rounders for Desmond Bane?????? WHAT?

xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

We damn well should be able to get one for Grayson if they are throwing them around like that.

One of them is the Suns 26, be really nice if we could get that with JJJ. One can dream.

He is still head and shoulders better than many big men on that end IMO but that’s why I said the Suns despite that would not make any noise in the playoffs.

This team is hitching their wagon to Book long term which is a mistake IMO unless they can get a number one player in here. Book cannot be your best player IMO. Trade him at his peak value or retaining Book makes no sense except for ticket sales.

Flex is saying the Spurs aren't out of it.

Who is reporting they are?

The Spurs might actually be the favorite at this point in time.

Mortgaging your future for Desmond Bane might be the dumbest trade ever.

The 2026 pick includes swap rights with the Suns and Washington’s pick. That’s crazy

Yesterdays price ain’t todays price. If the Suns come out of this with some mid package I’ll never forgive them. I look at SA and I want the house now but mainly that 2. Start the rebuild getting JJJ here does absolutely nothing what we fight for the 8th seed wow great

minnesota and houston make the most sense imo - they could feel they are a kd away but it will take at least one other team - spurs don't even know who they are yet - miami maybe? (just because it's on kd's list)

Send everyone you can packing for picks
Been calling for this all year. Then use the massive cap space to trade for bad contracts with draft pick sweeteners. Do what OKC did and hope you can identify talent.
