LaMelo Ball is one of the NBA’s most-talented point guards, who played an instrumental role in the Charlotte Hornets posting a 44-38 record this past season and reaching the play-in tournament after three straight losing seasons.
However, ESPN’s Shams Charania is reporting the “multiple teams” are actively pursuing the one-time All-Star, saying Ball doesn’t want to remain in Charlotte.
League sources inform The Arizona Republic the Phoenix Suns don’t have any interest in Ball.
The 24-year-old still has three years and $130.7 million remaining on his five-year, $203-million deal.
The Hornets drafted him third overall in the 2020 draft. Ball is averaging 20.8 points and 7.3 assists for his career.
The Suns lacked a true point guard last season as Devin Booker served as the team’s scoring and assist leader at 26.1 points and six assists per game in 2025-26.
Phoenix has talked about staying pat for the most part for next season.
