I'd be satisfied if he would just report sports. He does work at it.
The problem is when he has nothing he has been caught so many times making crap up. So much so, REAL sports guys have called him out on numerous occasions.

I know, but he does give a pulse of what's happening. It's one additional box to check when I'm scanning the NBA.

I honestly don't recall anything he has said in the last several years I didn't already know or hear about elsewhere.

Flex more recently got involved in the coaching search. He was really high on Johnnie Bryant with Jordan Ott in the top three candidates.

xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

We damn well should be able to get one for Grayson if they are throwing them around like that.

One of them is the Suns 26, be really nice if we could get that with JJJ. One can dream.
What? I thought teams weren't allowed to make any more trades right now--it's still 2024-25 and past the trade deadline. I thought they were required to wait until after the Finals end the season.

So does "trade deadline" apply only in a regular season? Odd, because I cannot recall any instance of a team making a trade during NBA Finals.

I’m actually warming a little to the Gobert, Divencenzo deal IF Dillingham is added to the mix. Didn’t realize that was the talk so I admit, that team COULD be a playoff play in team and Dillingham brings pretty solid upside. I wouldn’t be crazy about it because it’s still pretty much running in mud, but it’s pointless to have much expectation for anything this team has moving forward.

If I had a dollar for everytime I heard the phrase, "You have to cut Flex some slack on this one........"

You can agree to trades, they just don’t become official until July 6th (the beginning of the next league year).

Gobert's contract goes down every season in value. We could play him this year and then flip him. The following season I believ it's mid thirtiy million, and the last season is just 32 million. That's pretty much the going rate for a serviceable NBA center. From a contract standpoint, I'd take Gobert over Randle.

What's the reason to hate Jaren Jackson Jr? Somebody fill me in.

Trading for Randle gets a bit tricky since he has a player option that allows him to opt out this summer.

Randle can only be moved in a sign and trade unless he opts in. He hasn't and won't until the last minute because he maintains some leverage now and won't be involved in trade talks since he can kill them by officially opting out.

It’s my opinion based on the rumors that Houston is trying to get out of the Jalen Green business. He’s overpaid and hasn’t lived up to his draft position. Jabari Smith is a 3&D wing that’s shoots 35% from 3 for his career and has one year left on his rookie deal. I need two of our picks back if those are the guys we’re taking back.

Two picks if it’s San Antonio and two picks if it’s Miami (if no Ware).

I think we're trying to find a 3rd team to take Jalen Green. I can see that impeding the process. I think you're discounting what Jabari Smith Jr brings though. He's a 6'10" combo forward who is more of a Siakam/Aaron Gordon than 3&D wing. He's the prize, IMO. Our own picks and him is all I'd need to take whatever Houston can offer. The other salaries make it difficult for match. The fact a deal hasn't been done makes me believe we don't want Jalen since he's clearly available. I can't see Houston including our picks in a deal as enough to kill the deal.
