Suns @ Bulls Monday game thread 2-7-2022

Suns wrap up their four game road with back-to-back games. They play the Bulls on Monday and the 76ers on Tuesday.

Bulls are 33-19 but play back-to-back games of their own as they play the 76ers on Sunday before they play Phoenix.

Suns are now 42-10 after evening their road trip at 1-1 with a win over the Wizards.

The game will be televised on Bally Sports Arizona and NBA TV.

Start time is 6 p.m. Arizona time.

It looks like the Bulls are getting a lot of point guard production (assists) from shooting guard Ayo Dosunmu who was drafted #38 in the second round.

I'm not counting on Nader coming back this season. I guess the same thing can be said about Kaminsky and Saric.

The Bulls will be a tough out under any circumstances but when they get back three key players they will be even tougher: Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso and Patrick Williams.

DeMar DeRozan alone is a handful.

I don't follow the Bulls much but DeMar DeRozan seems to be the glue that holds the team together. Of course Zach LaVine is incredible as well.

The Bulls found a gem with Ayo Dosunmu.

There is only a half game separating the Eastern Conference leading Heat and the Bulls.

It could have easily been #1 versus #1.

Zach LaVine is available tonight. This is gonna be an interesting matchup. A split these next 2 games is what I expect just because of tired legs but hopefully we can keep the momentum going. I think we’ll see Mikal on LaVine and Jae on Demar to start off. I think Ayo is going to be on Book. Ayton vs. Vucevic will be an interesting matchup.

I have barely seen the bulls play this year, but happened to look up Derozen's last few games.

Dude is playing like the MVP. I always knew he was solid but I didn't think he could put up numbers like he has been lately.

I think we can win both games but it's going to be tough for sure.

So don’t hate me lol…I grew up as a post-Jordan Bulls fan (Chris Duhon, Luol Deng, Eddie Curry days). I moved back to the US from Canada in 04. However, when I moved back, I watched a lot of Suns games with Nash, Amare, etc. Kobe was my favorite player growing up. Once Book got to Phoenix I turned my allegiance but still kept up with the Bulls. So I’ve always sort of watched the Suns from afar but my fandom got going once Book got here and now here we are lol. If Joel Embiid wasn’t putting up crazy numbers, then yes I’d say Demar would be getting more MVP buzz. Looking forward to tonight.

Only caught part of what Tom Chambers said pregame but he said the Bulls have the best team in the East when they have all their players. It sounded like he meant it. I'm not a disbeliever either.
