You identified the problem. "Right now".

Any experienced GM knows that you plan for possibilities ahead of time. A
contingency plan.

How long have we been without a backup Center AND backup Power Forward
without doing something about it?

And long before that, our lead Center AND an inconsistent Power Forward.

I wonder if James Jones ever asked Big Man coach Mark Bryant how he felt
about that.

The Sarver era can be explained in many negative words. The first one that
comes to mind in lazy. And ignorant. And cheap. And novices. And concerned
only about profits. And no respect for the fan base. OK, six negatives.

Very few things in life are perfect. Sarver's regime has been perfectly unsuccessful.

It is indeed the perfect storm.
Are you suggesting he somehow have more than the max number of players allowed on the roster? I get a complaint that we should have better players but when you have this many injuries--well there is no particular contingency plan that can fix it. He would have to cut players in order to sign replacements. That does not seem wise unless the Suns are actually getting better players than the ones cut--which is not likely at all.

You cannot lay every Sun's misfortune on Sarver.

Could we do ten day contracts, or do we still need to have a spot open?

Would rather see Lecque than Rubio, tbh. Even if he looks like a UDFA.

What was the reaction to the loss of Baynes? And Kaminsky?

There was no contingency for losing Saric. And yet, here we are.

I cannot understand absolving Sarver of the responsibility.
Either because of his micro-management or hiring relatively
cheap, inexperienced General Managers.

Results talk! Look at our situation. And that of the past decade.

Sarver and his cronies have a billion dollar windfall.

I'll say again . . . Suns fan deserve better. Why would any Suns
fan condone the situation? Or the incompetent owner?

Yeah, because Giannis and the Lopez brothers are tiny...
Probably not taking it to the hole much with those giants roaming the paint. Going to shoot a bunch of threes. plus get dunked on a bunch on our end!

At least we get to see Cam moving around so this is encouraging.

I guess Rubio has had ankle soreness for awhile. This might help to explain things.

Okobo will start as Ty Jerome goes on the injury report. What is going on with the injuries?

Gina Mizell‏Verified account @ginamizell

Add Ty Jerome to the injury report. Official diagnosis should come in a couple minutes, but @DuaneRankin says he saw a wrap on Jerome’s leg during pregame warm-ups. Ricky Rubio (ankle) is also out. Elie Okobo, who has played sparingly in past couple games, will start. #Suns

I'm always suspicious of injuries with the trade deadline on February 6th.

Also players who seldom play can be showcased this time of season.

So it's a reported sore lower left calf for Jerome.

Suns appear to have 11 active players for the game counting Tyler Johnson.

That's 10, and if you take out the players who have no business playing even a single NBA minute (Harper, Owens and Lecque), it's 7.

I don’t like calling players soft because I just think the whole league is at this point. We can’t use injuries as an excuse anymore. Guys load manage and sit out games if they’re at 95%.

Who would you have cut in order to sign a replacement? And what if both Saric and that player had been injured too?

I get laying the present condition of the team IN GENERAL at Sarver's feet, but you cannot blame every little thing on him.

It feels like something is going on before the trade deadline.

Dragan Bender is dressed for the Bucks.

I don't know if I can handle Bender going off against the Suns. :nono:

Just saw Dragan Bender dressed in the background. This would be his first time playing against the Suns.
