It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure it out but if you like links, here's one for you.

Wasn't gonna bother replying anymore but your last post is hilarious. how long did it take you to dig that up?
FYI, didn't bother clicking on your link since the inserted quote that is suppose to rationalize your reasoning is lame.
Shaq' arrival may have affected Steve's play and cause him to adjust, but it was Porter's system that really hurt his play.
Usurped his status in the locker room??? Nash is a great guy and there is no way Shaq (even with his larger than life character) can undermine Steve's influence or status in the Phoenix Suns locker room. Steve is the face of the franchise. As a true fan, figuring that out is not exactly rocket science.

Nash makes this team go still imo, Shaq is gone so we are able to spread the touches around via Nash and guys love playing in this style! Go Suns keep the roll going!

"The world would have heard about it if Shaq was displeased." And they did.

He came into Phoenix saying all the right things and everything was upbeat for a while, probably including the locker room chemistry. He played the big ol' lovable clown role to the hilt, and for some reason guys thought it was hilarious when he dropped his pants and mooned the press. His offseason embarrassments were excused: the famous nightclub rap performance was brushed off around here, except by Arpaio. His romantic adventures, including legal charges for threats he made when she dumped him, got no comment at all from the Suns FO.

By the start of last season the honeymoon was over. Porter and the half court system proved to be a real mess, and small wonder nobody was happy. Nash wasn't happy, Bell wasn't happy, Amare started talking about the good old days, and Shaq was no slouch in the complaint department either. He made several comments about his touches--they needed to give him the ball so "he could do what he does" (or did). He was just as disgruntled as anyone else and proved it by some sly overtures to other teams, etc. The chemistry last year went from bad to worse and it seems really silly to say he wasn't at least a part of the problem.

Steve IS the face of the franchise, but anyone that doesn't realize that Shaq upset that isn't paying much attention.

Yes, he played well on the court and we loved him for it, but you could tell the players were deferring to him all the time. And there are several reasons why. One, he is a future hall of famer. Two, he has won multiple championships. Three, he still believes he is one of the top 5 players in the NBA. Four, he is likable, but his antics off the court don't always help, no matter how much you liked watching him.

The TEAM didn't get any attention. Shaq did. This year the team is getting the attention. Steve Nash is as well, but he is ALWAYS saying how he relies on his teammates. Shaq never said that.

At this point I don't want to even remember that shaq was even on this team.

Things are going so good right now, and things were going so bad back then that it is not even a memory for me anymore, since it would be painful to even want to think about last year why bother?

Great bench and a new young athletic and solid center.

Shaq who?

Thats all I have to say, not even worth arguing about this fictional shaq character as far as im concerned.

Channing Frye has the easiest job in the world, stand at the three point line uncovered and bomb threes all day.

Agreed with your post until this part. That simply is untrue. Shaq talked his team up all the time during post game interviews. He often referred to Nash as the best point guard and Amare being a dominant force.

As long as he doesn't hesitate when he has an open 3 point shot. I've also been impressed by Frye's rebounding.
