Even though the umpire screwed up on the wide one to Souza, then he had to swing at whatever on the next pitch, Souza singles Goldy in.

Then two more runs and it's 3-0 D-backs, runners on 1st and 2nd and one out here in the 4th.

Godley gives up three extra base hits and the Rockies get two in the top of 5th. 3-2 D-backs, with runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 outs.

Godley up to his old tricks, including falling off the mound when he pitches and afraid to throw a come-backer to 1B without running half way over as Bert pointed out.

Has anybody ever had a Christmas carol for their walk up song?

Souza with another clutch single to drive in a run.

And in the top of the inning, Godley did, in fact, make a wild throw on a come-backer.

Then he blew an opportunity when he stepped off the rubber to catch the runner going to second ... and didn't throw.

He needs to go down to the Minors, if he can, and learn fundamentals.

Godley just can't get through clean in the last 3 innings. Horrible throw to first from him and just making it to easy for them to score.

And Bracho back to his old tricks, as well. After that crazy gesture of leaning down and circling his arm over and over, he throws a wild pitch on his first pitch and it's a tie game, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and no one out.

Third hit for Souza, putting a runner on scoring position, who then scored to tie the game at 5-5 and Souza is now on 3B.

The one in a hockey jersey didn't make any sense, either. His mom finally gets to experience a complimentary one.
Yeah but the little lamb doll got a lot of ********** jokes.

Two outs in the bottom of the 9th with the tying and winning runs on base and a righty pitching ... and they let Ahmed hit with Lamb on the bench? And the D-backs slip to 3rd place.

I don't understand.

Lamb isn't any better.

I know the bad strike calls are part of baseball but that white box has made it really frustrating to watch game after game.

Shaggy, with a righty pitching, anyone is better. Ahmed is a Minor Leaguer (even with his great fielding) against righties.

Especially with a lefty slugger on the bench. On his bobble-head night. :)

I truly hope that the MLB office knows that we all see it and are allowing it as a prelude to going to electronic ball and strike calls on pitches taken and not swung on.

Against righties Nick is batting .200 and Jake is .243. Not a huge difference but Jake is better against righties.

Diamondbacks' Steven Souza: Reaches base four times
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Souza went 3-for-4 with two RBI on Saturday against the Rockies.

Though Souza's average sits at an unsightly .212 through 85 at-bats, Saturday's effort marked his third multi-hit effort in his last five starts. Since coming off the disabled list on July 5, he has gone 11-for-42 with a home run, seven RBI, a stolen base and two runs scored.

Great mitigation for losing JD.
