That's why we need a veteran power forward. That's why Oliver Miller was good here. Barkley would literally get on him during games in front of packed stadiums to get him to play hard. You need a guy like Barkley to push Ayton during the games on the court. PJ Tucker is a player like that. He would have Ayton playing harder on D.

Embiid didn't look in great shape last night IMO. I just hope Ayton comes into next season in great shape. I believe he can run most centers off the court.

Overall, I think Ayton had a good rookie season and it's just building on it for next season. I'm excited and looking forward to seeing him in a few months in summer league.

I think contesting shots has a lot to do with conditioning, too. It takes a lot of physical fitness to work that hard every time down on defense. I am hoping after a good off season with NBA level training, he gets better next season. He was essentailly in college basketball shape coming into the season.
