I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Mayfield failed in Cleveland & struggled with Petzing as his QB coach. Hmmmmm
Eek

That can be true but yesterday wasn't Kyler's fault, he put the ball where it needed to be on all 3 critical dropped passes.WR play is a symptom of a cancerous QB.

Look, I'm not the biggest Kyler fan either but no matter when the drops happened they weren't his fault. This thread started out about the WR problem lol. At the end of the day, Kyler is who he is, a short QB that struggles to read defenses, can't see over the line, doesn't really go through his reads etc etc, he is what he is & I don't know when things will change if at all?Dude 2 of those were on the same drive and on the other we scored a TD. Those 3 drops robbed us, at best, of 4 points.
Kyler meanwhile threw for 4.5 YPA. He's 8% in his career when throwing for less than 5.5. Tell me it wasn't Kyler.
Brit will never admit it because he’s too far down in the hole, but I know it had to make him sad when he seen Ricky Pearsall make contested catches while Marvin drops the easiest TD catches ever. Don’t worry, it made all of us sad as well.
Not by a WR, but a drop took away would-been TD from Demarcado. We absolutely did.We didn't lose the game because of drops
Whatever helps you sleep at night my man.they are a distraction
It’s 2025. Who cares about who said is better than who. Homies praise other homies up. Funny, all of those WRs at Ohio State are playing better than him, even the one with Justin Fields & Tyrod Taylor as his QB.every good WR he was with at Ohio said he was better than them.
I don’t have any concerns about Wilson. He’s the only one.Or any concerns about the rest of the receivers.
I think one way to get into a rhythm is catching wide open passes? Maybe I’m wrong, idk. They can't get into a rhythm
Marv is lucky he’s a top 4 pick cause he could be looking at a benching.Marv is lucky
I imagine any QB would be incredibly frustrated playing with a WR who keeps dropping ball over & over again.I imagine Marv is incredibly frustrated to be playing with a QB that can't pass more than 5 yards unless we are up 10 or down 7.
Kyler is who is as a QB, we all know his limitations but I'm sorry, he didn't lose us the game yesterday, the drops cost us big time. if Damacardo hangs on, he walks into the end zone. The wide open pass that MHJ dropped, I doubt he scored but it would've gotten us into FG range at least. I have plenty of concerns about MHJ, he drops passes & doesn't high point the ball like ever.I've not denied they were bad drops, it doesn't matter. We didn't lose the game because of drops, they are a distraction. We lost (again) because of piss poor quarterback play.
Honestly, I have no real concerns about Marv, every good WR he was with at Ohio said he was better than them. Or any concerns about the rest of the receivers. They can't get into a rhythm, they can't get warm. Marv is lucky to get 6 targets a game and anyone else is amazed to get 3.

You are sound a lot like the Kyler stans, who you desperately so hate, but with Marv
3 drops with 2 of them being TDs. Two gigantic drops. I don’t think I’M the one that needs to get a grip here, lol.Over and over again? lol
He's had a couple of bad drops in the last 2 games. Get a grip.

Either way, Kyler put the ball where it had to be. It doesn't matter what he averaged YPA because he did nothing to cost us the game, Demacardo could've walked in & that would be the score we needed.4.5 YPA when the win rate is 8% under 5.5 cost us the game.
The MHJ drop was on the same drive as the Demercado drop. It cost us nothing, we got the 1st down and continued the drive.
Why ask this when you literally just laid out the 3 drops in the next paragraph? lolSorry what? What 3 drops?
Mush? Fred was trailing Marvin! Lmao. How the hell was Fred was gonna turn him to mush? The one yesterday that again cost us nothing because that ball was underthrown and Warner was going to turn him to mush
It hit Marv in his chest. That’s not a tough catch for premier WRs at all.blame him as it was tough.
It should cost trust in the guy from the players & fanbase. So literally none of them cost us a thing.
I won’t blame MO for picking Marv. He almost had to after not drafting will anderson the year before. It was a sensible pick. What is not sensible is not finding more WR talent after Marv in the draft and free agency.I'll put my hand up and say we made the wrong pick with MHJ. Clearly.
I've not denied they were bad drops, it doesn't matter. We didn't lose the game because of drops, they are a distraction. We lost (again) because of piss poor quarterback play.
The fact we have a whole thread dedicated to Tip makes me want to puke. We can’t convert 3rd and 8 or more and we think the investment in Tip is a great thing. This is a good take.
Everyone has to be ready to get the ball when it comes for you. No question. But you can’t choose to feature Tip Reiman on three-yard outs for the first 15 targets and expect your guys to be locked in.
Does he go half hearted on routes, is he not aggressive, is he a half hearted blocke, lastly does he catch with his body?HE dropped one in the end zone today
Sadly no longer legalCan we give the receivers other than McBride some stickum for their hands?![]()
Good wide receiver classProbably the plan is to go all in on offense next year.
Upgrade the line and the WR room big time.
