It's not the play calls. It's 100% Kyler's mentality. The plays are the same, it's just that Kyler only opens up when were either up comfortably or down and needing a score.

I'll put some videos in the Kyler thread later.
We all can’t wait for that and you’re all 22 breakdown man so insightful

Well, yeah. Far more insightful than your "Nobody is open downfield because the color guy said so. Kyler rulez".

Its possible MHJ needed a Julio situation.

People knocked him for his drops early in his career. However, he was also allowed to not be the main focus of the offense while still on a team willing to throw.

Julio is obviously more explosive than MHJ. However, I think this scheme would have us very frustrated with a year 1/year 2 Julio.

I think it may be closer to a Drake London type of situation.

London was drafted to be the immediate starter with no other real options at WR for the Falcons his rookie year. It took London till year 3 before he finally broke out.

it;s a good comparison because London went to a team that had a very run based offense so the first 2 years he had lots of catches, 72 and 69 and low TD numbers. Last year 100 catches and 9 TD's. But the big difference with him and Marv is the ratio of catches to targets was always better. Marv got more TD's but was less efficient.

But good comparison came in as #1 as a rookie on a run oriented team

Said this all off season that this WR room was below average and boy did today show it.

Marv is not a number 1
Wilson is not a number 2
Jones should not be on this squad at all.

This is completely on MO and after three years he has failed to give us talent on this offense.
But you did say in May that you were optimistic about MHJ. I know it's not the entire wr room but come on man.

I found some agreement with what I posted. J P Acosta, CBS Sports, “This is where the answers get tough, because I think the answer to the Harrison Jr. question is QB Kyler Murray and to an extent Petzing as well.”

Imagine going into the offseason and thinking, there's nothing we can do to improve this group - it's perfect as is!

We built our entire identity around a smash mouth running game and a running back who invites contact and has a ton of miles on his legs. Our rushing success rate is 30%, which is 3rd WORST in the entire NFL.

Not only are we incredibly boring, we're also incredibly mid with a system that benefits nobody at this point.

Cooked franchise, as usual.
Is it truly something that we built our team around a soon to be 30 year old RB.
Don't worry we got Tip Reiman on the team.
Even down to Monti hyping up this pick.

Jalen McMillian and Troy Franklin were there as downfield threats to open up things for MHJ. I get wanting to be physical, but this roster was truly counting on just one kinda way to win.

Said it earlier in the week Pearsall is legit good. He is tough and he's fast, if they ever get him, Jennings and Aiyuk on the field healthy together that's a scary Wr room
I think I wanted Ricky in the 2nd round (3rd before his draft stock improved).

Im not sure I would have went Ricky over Darius. However, I did want to move up for BTJ or even take Worthy.

Either way it was an offensive rich draft. A chance to grab two quality wrs in rounds 1 to 3 and we didnt do it.
