John Woo Will Remake His Iconic Movie The Killer on Peacock

This I can get behind -- The Killer was fantastic, and it's John Woo remaking his own movie, so that softens the blow a bit. Just don't know if Woo has anything left in the tank anymore.

Yep, it's one remake I'd be very interested in. In fact, Woo could remake much of his Hong Kong catalog AFAIC.

I don’t know. That’s what they did with Ocean’s 11. The original was really bad, but getting a Rat Pack group of guys together for a heist was a recipe for success.
I'll add Dune, It, A Star is Born, Casino Royal, and The Italian Job off the top of my head. Is it more risky? Probably. But it's not like Flash, Indy, Little Mermaid, and most of recent remakes/sequels are making money.

I'd add Super Mario to the list of remakes of bad movies but I'm not sure if that counts. We did have the Hopkins one though.

There are always exceptions. Oceans isn’t a good one imo because the original was so old.
