OXFORD — Ole Miss baseball is the No. 9 seed in the SEC Tournament after losing to Alabama in the final game of the regular season.

The Rebels (39-16, 16-14 SEC) will face No. 16 seed Missouri (23-29, 6-23) in the first round on May 19 (9:30 a.m., SEC Network) at Hoover Met in Hoover, Alabama.

The winner will face No. 8 Mississippi State on May 20 (9:30 a.m., SEC Network).

The Rebels made a run to the championship game in the tournament last season before losing to Vanderbilt.


The tournament in its second year of a single-elimination tournament format. It runs from May 19-24. The bottom eight seeds open the tournament by playing on May 19.

The Rebels did not play the Tigers in the regular season.
