LINCOLN, NE — Ole Miss baseball is undefeated after two games in the NCAA Tournament.

The No. 2 Rebels beat No. 1 Nebraska 6-3 on May 31 in the Lincoln Regional at Haymarket Park. It was a game that began on May 30 but was suspended before the ninth inning due to rain and lightning.

The game was picked back up at the top of the ninth inning at noon with Ole Miss leading 6-3. Neither team scored in the ninth inning.

Ole Miss (38-20) got a stellar start from Taylor Rabe and late-inning offense to beat the Cornhuskers (43-16). Because the game was in the winners bracket, neither team was eliminated.

The Rebels will face the winner between Nebraska and Arizona State on May 31 at 7 p.m. The Cornhuskers and Sun Devils play an elimination game at 2 p.m.

If Ole Miss wins, the Rebels will move on to a super regional. If Ole Miss loses, the Rebels will play in an if-necessary game against the same team on June 1 to decide the regional.
