OXFORD — With just the SEC Tournament remaining before the NCAA Tournament, Ole Miss baseball is on the wrong side of the hosting bubble.

The Rebels (36-20, 15-15 SEC) are coming off a 2-1 series loss on the road at Alabama to close the regular season. It led to Ole Miss earning the No. 9 seed in the SEC Tournament, which results in a matchup against No. 16 Missouri on May 19 (9:30 a.m., SEC Network).

Ole Miss is seeking to earn a top-16 host seed in the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season. The Rebels likely need to play deep into the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Alabama, to get more games at Swayze Field this season.

Here's where Ole Miss is picked in the latest NCAA Tournament projections.

The Tennessean's Aria Gerson lists Ole Miss as a No. 2 seed in her latest projections. The Rebels are projected as the No. 20 overall seed and would travel to Southern Miss, the No. 14 overall seed. No. 3 Arizona State and No. 4 Long Island round out the regional. The winner would face the winner of No. 3 Georgia's regional.

Baseball America projects Ole Miss as the No. 18 overall seed in No. 15 Oregon's regional. No. 3 Virginia and No. 4 Washington State are also in the regional. The winner would face the winner of No. 2 Georgia Tech's regional.
