I was hoping PPF miscalculated his value...
I hope so, Our run blocking has not been good enough.

Why did the Cardinals inexplicably go to KeeSean Johnson in the 4th quarter?
Was it Murray?
Was it the play calling?
Was it Kingsbury not telling Murray to quit targeting Johnson?
Keesean was primary receiver but Murray was not going through progressions. Kliff, Murray and Keesean to blame in that order.Kingsbury chose to give Johnson all of the snaps even when he was horrible and other WRs were dominating.
lol...people out here acting like the QB doesn't dictate where the ball goes.Keesean was primary receiver but Murray was not going through progressions. Kliff, Murray and Keesean to blame in that order.

It was what the opposition would least suspectKingsbury chose to give Johnson all of the snaps even when he was horrible and other WRs were dominating.
Vance's defenses have up and down over his career. Again, he asks a lot of his guys in terms of funneling zone defense and playing a single high look. I think guys are so worried about where they need to be and getting to those spots that they don't read the QB.Man we need a ballhawk so damn man
Getting pissed of not getting INTs throughout multiple games
This is why I'm immediately in favor of giving up a 6th round pick mid season for the inevitable firing of Dan Quinn to be our D Coordinator. lol.Vance's defenses have up and down over his career. I agree, but QBs have had a bad game like K1 did and still won the game with a good defense, which we don't have. The defense wasn’t the problem... if we don’t give the ball away three times our TOP goes up and Detroit doesn’t score 26 on us. Not to mention the points we lost due to the turnovers.
I would prefer to see our defense more aggressive but the simple fact is that our second year qb had a bad game and it cost us the win.
Growing pains.
I did, but it went over his head.Tell Kyler...he is the one throwing the ball.
YEP!Grasping defeat from the jaws of victory a Cardinal hallmark since forever. It's just one game but this was a GREAT chance to be three and 0 in a tough division and we just went backwards.
In this crazy day and age at least you can still count on something.
To be fair, the Lions ran out a bunch of multiple TE sets. Campbell can only cover 1 TE at a time.
the sky isn’t falling. The Lions were a trendy playoff pick to begin the season (somehow). They’re a better team than they’ve shown in their last 11 consecutive losses.
Kyler’s turnover avoidance regressed right back to the mean.
Fanatics...he was never a MVP candidate to begin with.Wow! With one loss KM has gone from a MVP candidate to someone we have to worry about. Wow!
The problem was the offense. There is/was quite a lot wrong and none of it was new, it was just hidden by playing bad/under strength teams.
It was a game we really could have won 30-13 quite easily. The Lions aren't good, we are a better team. Just too many bad offensive plays.
- Kliff gets too fancy and doesn't adjust to the game. Inside runs were not working all night, yet he ran inside zones over and over for 3 yards. The Lions were keyed in on the underneath stuff but were easy money on downfield throws, but he continued with the screens and sweeps which just didn't work. We could have thrown to Nuk for 10 every single down.
- The O line cannot run block. Sweezy and Gaillard have been especially poor, so I'm not sure why Kliff keeps calling plays that run behind Sweezy and Gaillard.
- Why didn't Kliff run Kyler more? He had 3/4 runs all for decent yardage yet he ran 10+ times in the previous games. Why?
- Kyler had a bad game, way below his ability. But it did highlight issues in his game. He throws behind his man way too often. It cost us certain TD's by Isabella and Edmonds. Fortunately both drives still ended in TD's but still, it's a major issue and caused one of the INT's.
- We all knew this before but again this game highlighted it. Kyler does have big issues going through his reads and he keys in on a primary target too often while ignoring open guys. Nuk was WIDE open on the interception he forced into triple coverage and Isabella was open on a crucial 3rd down late in the game. It's not good enough.
On the plus side, there's a tonne of film to study and correct. Hopefully we got all the bad crap out in one game and came get back to form next week.
