They will have to do A LOT to convince me this is a good idea. Outside of the soundtrack, Tron Legacy wasn't a great movie.

Jeff Bridges on Jared Leto’s method acting for ‘TRON ARES’“There was an interesting vibe on this. I said, ‘How’s Jared? How’s he working?’ ‘He’s all right. You know, we call him Ares, you know, so he goes by his name,’ and I said, ‘Oh, that’s interesting’”(Source:

To me there is hidden sub-text here. Bridges who is considered an icon in the industry says something is "interesting" sounds like...yeah...I don't believe in that crap.

Okay...
That looks interesting. As a guy who lined up early to see the original Tron, then mastered the subsequent video game... this looks like the best Tron yet.
I wasn't looking forward to this one. Mostly because Tron2 sucked sewer water...but bringing the digital villains into the physical world opens up huge possibilities

I was seriously disappointed in Tron 2

But the more I see previews for Ares...not only do I want to see it...but I'm thinking it's theater worthy.
Maybe even IMAX
It looks really good

Legacy sucked swampy butt.
But this looks entirely different.

Less "sci-fi concept " and more "techno action movie"
